Had an amazing battle last night...

We were holding a tower point with landing pads. (NC faction)

From one side we were getting hit hard by Vanu...

The other side we were getting hit hard by Terran..

i swear its like they teamed up vs us..

We held the base for a good 30min+ Lost it and somehow took it back 30min later.

Are you on cobalt??? As I recall the exact some thing happening aswell, but apparently there was a lot Vanu something like 50% but I never saw a whiff of them! P.s. I was Terran republic

Let me just check somethings. Please let me know if the following is correct for the Dakka outfit:

Server:Cobalt

Race: Terran Republic or w/e the hell they called

I can't seem to find cptapostle whenever im online. If anybody sees this then I will most likely be at the TR Warpgate in Indar, I won't be hard to miss since I will be yelling a bit. If anybody could come and invite me it would be much appreciated.

NC where attacking a Terran Watchtower, started to get the upper hand when the poxy Vanu steamrolled in with a fully organized outfit, they kicked the Terran completely out of the watchtower while the NC (me) stood there with an open mouth. The NC managed to keep a foot hold on the Watchtower for another half an hour until they we where booted out for good. The Terran never got another look in.

Well thats me done with Planetside 2 for now. Not just PS2 mind, I lose my internet tomorrow/Saturday so no online gaming for me lol.

I need a lot of practice with PS2, aircraft being my most useless skill currently. Well hopefully come the new year I shall have internet.

Uhtredskaer. Pretty decent pilot, I'm mostly airborne, and when I'm not I'm usually infantry, heavy assault or engineer.

A decent pilot? Consider your self sergeant of the shock squad! If you can pilot a galaxy then soon once ive gotten about 4 more people we can go on our first mission. Supporting some other attackers with some heavy ass gunship fire!

I've got a buddy that can fly as well, and there was another guy I met whose friends were going to start up an outfit. We'll have to see if we can steal a teamspeak channel.

I'm getting some bad framerate issues for some reason. I'm downloading the latest Nvidia driver to see if that fixes it. If not, maybe it's the lag or something.

Anyone else getting worse fps than they should?

I am. The game is not good looking enough to get the horrible framerate it's getting.

I don't think it's the fact it''s not 'good looking' I think you are forgetting there is a literally hundreds of people fighting in the same area.

It's because the game becomes heavily CPU bound when the large battles start since the CPU has to keep track of all of the players. This is a known issue, and SOE currently has a FPS patch in QA that's aimed to be released in January, see here from SOE's president: https://twitter.com/j_smedley/status/278183844283305985

No, I'm not.

I've had far better looking games do hundreds of people fighting in the same area and manage it more competently.

Either your detail is set too low or your pc is too weak
If you do the render "fix" to stop player teleporting until they fix it, it takes a toll to render 1000+m out
