I absolutely loathe the standard Storm Talon but yours is the first that looks utterly badass. The MRPs suit it perfectly.. you have top class conversion skills
Also I shall end by simply saying..... DAT DREAD.

Let me just start by saying I can't even begin to express how awesome these look.

The paint scheme is top notch, the models look awesome, great basing and your ability of kit-bashing and using bits are legendary.

Well done sir, I hope to see more from you soon

Just found this thread. Pure awesome. I think your Counts As Vulkan is the best one I have ever seen. It isn't just a Vulkan copy painted in different colors but an actual Counts As conversion that is both unique and WYSIWYG. Fantastic work.

I would love to see you do some Silver Skulls Assault Terminators or Silver Skulls Sternguard. The White helmets and some of the FW bolters would look just awesome with your paint scheme.

The only criticism is you should hit the bases with a really dark grey drybrush to make them pop just a bit more and give them a more "finished" feel. But still, this is amazing work I thoroughly enjoy this thread.

Thanks guys. Sorry for the late reply I only update this thread when I have new finished models and lately its been about getting them built.

However today I have a load of marines from Hestans personal tactical squad that you might enjoy.

In response to your questions first.

Terminators or stern guard. I dont have any plans for either at the minute however Hestans squad could easily be used as stern guard as they are pretty elite looking. In the future it is highly likely that I will do some proper vets for you though

On the bases you are right. The dreadnoughts have had their bases drybrushed in those pictures but you cant really tell. I have also been adding it to all the marines. These new pics might show you what I mean.

The vulkan compliment. Thank you very much that is quite a high statement I did not want to have a silver Vulkan model and as my army is very techy it just made sense. Thank you

Ok pics for you.

Melta gun first.

Quite happy with this chap. He looks the part with his servo melta

Next is a "normal marine"

This bloke has a proper strong hand Used the medical hand on him as it looks very mechy

Another marine now.

He is probably one of the worse off

Multi melta time.

Again I think his servo gun worked out ok

Kneeling dude now.

And finally a group shot.

I hope you all like these and CC as always. Also I have had some bad CC on the blood on some of the marines and the dreads. Any suggestions on what I can do to them to make it better or if you think its ok how it is? I was going to give it a gloss varnish to make it shine like fluid?

I love everything you've done but honestly that Storm Talon is my favourite by far. ESPECIALLY the rocket pods you mounted on the sides, that just looks totally freaking sweet and UTTERLY TERRIFYING. If I was a mini on someone's tabletop and I saw that thing bearing down on me, I'd crap my pants and have a real deer-caught-in-the-headlights moment. Keep up the good work man.

I completely agree. Those anvil industry bolsters with all the extra goodies definitely scream stern guard. Throw them into a dp with Vulkan and burninate some intergalactic peasantry!

The guard are just cadian troops with pig iron heads and they all have heavy weapon back packs

I am glad you like the storm talon mate it is pretty special I hope to get hold of another set of wing from an assault ram so I can build another one. I already have another set of missiles.

The techy style marines are just used as a tactical squad in my army. Its the squad that Hestan joins in a drop pod. Don,t have the points for sternguard and my armylist already has 3 elites choices in the form of 2 iron clads and a tech marine.

Finished another drop pod today. I have gone with silver doors now as it is way faster to paint still looks nice and on the table they are always down anyway so painting all the black is really a waste of time. I have added some black to the ramps inside to make the model pop a bit more. This will be added to the other pods and it will also give me a base for if I paint chevrons later.

Hope you like it.
