Lately I have been getting the same PM from various people multiple times, IE, i read a message from them then about 6 hours later i receive the PM again. could one of the mods look into this as its quite confusing.
Is anyone else having this problem?

To clarify, you end up with 2+ copies of the same PM in your PM inbox? Are you talking about duplicate email notifications of the PMs, or the actual PMs in the dakka forum PM area.

it has happened to me 3 times now, first time was about 4 hours, second was 6 and the third was the next day...all from different users

and both, i get duplicate PMs and duplicate emails. almost as if they send it, then later send the exact same message.

And you are seeing the same issue from PMs from multiple people as well?

I figured out what was causing it for me, it was people sending it from a mobile phone, exiting out before the next page loaded and then pulling the internet app back up several hours later.

Negative, just the one person.

Seems very likely to be a similar issue then. Thanks for the debugging. There is no double click prevention on sending PMs like there is on posting, so there are quite a few ways in which it can happen. Only if it is coming from every person who PMs you is there much need for concern.
