Very nice! Excellent, vivid colors. IMO the old-school-style bases and vivid colors make it look very much like an updated, better-looking 2nd-ed style studio army. Very cool mix of the old and the new here.

Some really interesting techniquest described too, like your power weapon approach, and your technique for the banners. Thanks very much for sharing! Would you consider posting a step by step tutorial on doing the banners, in the P&M Tutorials forum?

Sure, the banners were actually really simple to do. I like to experiment some times with new techniques and on the banners haven't seen the same method in any tutorial before so will be happy to share it in the P&M tutorial forum when i have time to sit down for a bit to write it

Oh and as i started first playing around 2nd edition of 40k, the look and feel of the armies then stuck and I enjoy that kind of look in my mins more than any "realistic" approach I also took seven years off from the hobby and just started to paint again in the spring of this year, so am really pleased with my results so far! Thx for the comment!

If you had time to write it down and take step by step pics as you go, that'd be wonderful. Thanks!

The picture part will be a bit of a problem. I don't have any more of the SG kit banners left (which are sculpted textures) so can't do a picture tutorial atm :(

Here's some new additions to my finished BA models. First scouts painted and also the first devastators and some new heavy weapons for the tactical squad. Next on planning to get some razorbacks and more scouts.

I love the way you did the camo cloaks, nice job. Was it difficult to paint the stripes?

It was really simple. I started with black, then drybrushed scorched brown, then a mix of scorched brown, yriel yellow and skull white. After that i painted the stripes with a 70/30 mix of camo green and skull white, then a 50/50 mix of the same colors. The cloaks were maybe the easiest step in painting the scouts As the pattern can be a bit rough you don't need to paint the cloaks so neatly

Here are some more devastators with plasma cannons, my new razorbacks with las/plas conversions, and some footslogging assaultmarines (which have converted meltaguns). Also a footslogger chaplain that i added to the army recently. Enjoy!

Sweet dude, everything looks great.

What did you highlight the rhinos with? Doesn't look like the typical orange you normally see.

if you mean the razorbacks, I used the new citadel color fire dragon bright for the edge highlights. The base color to the vehicles is done with army painter dragon red spray.

Just got an unpainted Vindicator from a friend and had to paint it. Too bad it's pitch black outside, so no natural light on the photo. Still I'm happy with the tank. This will probably be the last model for my BA army for some time.

makes me really wish I could paint mine that well, mine look really rough in comparison.

A really quick rundown is this: With a brush. Joking aside, here's how i paint the red power armor. I spray black, drybrush khorne red, drybrush evil sunz scarlet, highlight firedragon bright. That is the basics for the red power armor
