Forget political orientation: the main issue with enjoying this film is whether you have an appreciation for B-movie structure, silly situations, and questionable pacing. if you like "plan 9" kinda stuff, you'll love this movie. Also the Nazi space-gadgets are cool/funny enough to cover for a multitude of sins.
Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

I might watch this, it sounds funny.

This film is great! I couldn't wait for a North American release, so I had to resort to the internet to watch it. It's very well done, extreamly silly, and everything you'd expect from a B movie. The trailer actually does not do this film justice. Just while watching it, remember it's made by the Finns, so some of the jokes relate to that.

Sweet, Gordon! I guess I don't need to wait for an answer on whether it's okay for me to spread the word!

This movie was everything I hoped it would be. Over the top, tongue in cheek, with funny references that mainly geeks would get.
Not meant to be serious in any way, and the graphics are quite well done.
I've seen far worse. Fargo comes to mind.

All the effects are pretty good, the concept and half the plot are okay.
Spoiler:
The running palin gags are mediocre at first then plummet down hill and the black/white astronaut parts only seems to serve an Austrailian/Finnish desire to have a jive talking homey as a main character.
I bought this film on a Dakka recommendation and would regret doing so if I hadn't got it for a few quid at Tescos.

You think this is OK but Fargo is worse? Please never give movie recommendations again, now I have not seen Iron Sky but the only way this could work for me if they play it's the "so bad it's good" (like The Room or Samurai Cop) card.

I got a viewing done with 130 odd people in my local area through the same program as OP. Some of the jokes and running gags were campy at best and I honestly could have done with more action! I think that's where the budget really showed because they didn't have the money for a proper Space Nazi ground invasion some where.
Other then that, it's funny, over the top, well shot, acted and directed, the CGI should honestly make a large number of American groups ashamed of themselves because the Fin-Aussies have not only caught up to Hollywood but they're doing it for significantly less cost.
Americans on either side of the political spectrum may suffer nightmares after viewing however just from the depiction of Sarah Palin as president *shudder*
Over all: A+ for my favorite B movie of over a decade.
I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn
Lemme at least leave a good hoof beat they'll remember loud and long
