Anyone still play this, and if so, what system? I'm loving playing as Leon, Derpl, and Raelynn, although I do branch out so that it doesn't get stale. I play from Steam.

New character by the way. A support character, with an ability to take the enemy out of combat (and debuff them / cause an explosion / steal health / etc when ugpraded) for a few seconds, an the ability to buff teammates with a shield (which can be upgraded to heal as well). Has very minor flying abilities and its shot both returns to it and pierces enemies.

It's a human-sized sentient caterpillar!

Well the large dwarf fellow is voiced by Simon of the Yogscast and TB voiced the blue guy on that fish.

Anyway I usually play the giant robot and turret/bot smash through things. *Wants the creeper skin*

Hehe, I usually play Derpl Zork (the squid in a turret-bot), Raelynn (the human sniper), Genji (the new character I described above), or Leon (the assassin chameleon), myself.

Derpl is almost literally a walking tank, and in turret mode is the most durable of any of the characters, especially with upgrades. the nuke in turret mode is absolutely devastating when upgraded, and the trap in walking mode is brilliant for protecting your ass or stopping pursuers (like those Leons). I really hate his walking-mode shots though. THey are weak, slow, and they bounce instead of going straight forward.

Raelynn is a bit of an oddball. Best use for Raelynn is probably actually her timewarp ability, which is one of the most varied abilities in terms of uses in the game, anything from spawning bots to assist a push to dramatically slowing, damaging, and debuffing anyone that goes through it. Her snipe is great on defense, can net you metric fucktons of solar as you gain solar for each target you hit, and when you're hitting four or five bots plus some awesomnauts it is quite noticeable.

Genji is probably the most support-focused character in the game. You won't be a good Genji player if you don't have a mindset to support your allies properly. But a good Genji can make or break a team, just like a good Voltar (who is also a support character but is much more offensively-minded than Genji is). Still, his standard attack is actually pretty good, piercing through enemies without upgrades and gaining a nice area of effect damage/debuff, and he can use his web for a variety of purposes (I like the metamorphosis one, changes an enemy saw-bot in to a friendly flying bot).

Leon can be pretty durable with a regen/health steal build. Stealth regen + health regen + tongue health steal + melee health steal means that about the only thing he fears is Clunk's self-destruct ability (he's the big robot). I have the tongue set up to do massive damage, allowing for even more massive healing in the end-game and usually ending up as the killing hit for my Leon, because there's nothing more satisfying than killing someone who thought they were going to get away.

Eternal Plague

Love the game.

I'm on Steam and usually a Voltar or Klunk character. Not bad with Lonestar or Derpl either.
