Seeing as I'm new, these pics are what I've done so far, I don't play so the only people that ever see these are me - and my dis-interested wife and child!

I do also post on BOLs so apologies if anyone has seen these before. Comments welcome.

It's taken me about two years to paint that lot. Not very quick I know.

Thanks,

Colour wise i'm still using the old paints... undercoat Chaos Black, Airbrush Adeptus Battlegrey, Gravlax EarthShade for the recesses and then highlight up through Dheneb Stone to sharp white on the face plate and uppermost surfaces. All the mini's and bases have some Dheneb Grey in there somewhere to bring it all together. Hope it works for you!

Wow, that stormtrooper sergeant has clearly seen terrible, terrible things. Love the facial expression you achieved, as I love everything about the inquisitorial elements here (not that there's anything wrong with the GK, I just don't care for those models much). Fantastic work.

Really nice smooth colours with amazing levels of detail, I've seen a very similar paint job on a website that I think was called minivault, but since then it seems to have been taken down

I much prefer your grey Greyknight approach over the gaudy silver. Well done! And you should get more people to see them!

Am working on Grey Knight strike squad at the mo, but I forgot how much I hate painting power armour.

Hope to post them up soon.

These are beautiful models. The faces of the sgt and retinue are wonderfully grim. I also really lke the work on the cloaks. I'll look forward to seeing the strike squad.

Finally finished my first GK strike squad, also purifiers are practically complete to come.

C & C welcome. In other news I have just taken delivery of two RT era Grey Knight Terminators and a RT era Inquisitor in Termie armour. Am chopping them up as we speak. Any recomendations on where to get some interesting Termie arms? I've used all the GK ones.

Thanks,

Those look quite fantastic! They look a lot more dark and brooding than usual, but the effect is awesome. Good stuff!

Oh wow that is the exact same colour scheme I am using. From the shade of grey, to the blue force weapons, to the gold trim. Looks lovely, you're a better painter than I.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

Thanks for the kind comments, I've seen a lot of pics of similar paint schemes - thought I was 'so original' until I saw them. Oh well.

Purifiers almost done, and while the wife was watching X-Factor I sketched out a conversion that I had done a while ago but never painted, think it may be next up for my brush...

Hope you dont mind me asking but how did you do the lovely greyed pale skin on the captain etc? What colours would I use from GW for that?

I used a mix of Dheneb Stone and Elf Flesh (I think) then blended up to pure 'Stone and added a little white to the mix for final highlight. I put a really light wash of Devlan Mud / Agrax Shade for before I started highlighting I think. I had it all written down, then lost it, as a result the Arco's I painted a couple of months ago came out with a slightly different look.

Thanks for the nice comments!

I did most of the painting on these at the beginning of the year, but I hated them... they were my first power armoured Grey Knights and I recently re-visited them to try and bring them up to scratch rather that strip them and start again. I think now they are OK. I still have a squad of 5 PA GKs to paint, 5 Paladins and another 5 Termies, also a Land Raider, Dreadnought, as well as Draigo & Crowe.

I do however have lots of interesting Inq stuff to paint some of which are conversions, so will concentrate on those for a bit.

Thanks.

Those are henchmen that came from (I think) the old WH Inquisitor Lord box. If I recall, the brazier one was supposed to have that brazier of holy flame weapon that was basically a one-shot flamer, and then the other two were mystics or seers or something.
