You can always sharpen the knives. Using hot wire does have it advantages but i like rough lines so knife did a great job, just find the cheapest knife for which you will not too sorry. Also i was not going to pay for hot wire, maybe in the future I will but for few terrains I planned to build that was not a option since it is not cheap and i have to order from ebay :(
