So anyone that has ever used the terms "Sunrise" or "Sunset" obviously believes in a flat earth, since we know factually that the sun never truly sets or rises. People are never allowed to use colloquialism when they speak. We must always use scientifically precise language.

The majority of Christians, including the pope, accept evolution as the fact is it.
Creationists entirely deserve the mocking. I find it truly staggering that some of them actually have the balls to laugh at Scientology and Mormons frankly.

Its easy to laugh at the Flat Earth Society, its smarter not to. Its whole reason d'etre is to poke fun at the scientific community which is all too often up their own bottoms. I gotta love these guys they have a whacky explanation for everything, and it is always delivered with intellectual gravitas. For example Q. What causes eclipses? A. The anti-moon, which is a billboard approx 20km wide floating above the Earth. Flat Earthers have of course to stay in character to the pojnt that it is indistinguishable how much they truly believe, and good for them. Some people may appear to look smart by arguing the Earth is round to them, not only is it painfully easy but thats rather boring than the other way around. A far better idea is to raise a glass to the Flat Earthers rather than raise a point, and those who press the argument miss the point entirely.
Just remember, Antarctica is a conspiracy.

You said it, no one else did.
I just pointed out the source for the belief the earth is flat. Because we both know a lot of christians take the book literally, and others claim its just metaphors. Trying to figure out which christians believe in what is like herding cats, is there any part of the bible that every christian on dakka could agree with the interpretation? I highly doubt it.
