A couple of Rat Ogres I painted last year. I like to look at these when I feel a little less confident in my painting. They remind me that I'm actually a decent painter and shouldn't be so down on myself!

They are in no way bad, EvilEdwin. They remind me of comic books with how clean they are. You have very, very good brush control and that is admirable (if something I need!). The bandages look very nice, as do their tails.

Perhaps theses aren't the miniatures that appear to live in a world of deep shadows and intense highlights as you'll find on coolminiornot, but these pieces do show off a clean paintjob that most strive for.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm having a bit of lack of confidence with painting today so it's nice to hear some words of encouragement.

The first photo was taken by the manager of my local GW shop on his iPhone, while the others were taken with my camera. I've noticed the flash tends to make the minaitures look a little worse than they would otherwise. Something to bear in mind in the future.

These are very good, EvilEdwin! You're a better painter than you seem think you are.

To be honest i prefer when i comment the painting skills of an individual to see a clean job than a detailed job.
Nobody expects from anyone to paint like da vinci so...
They look great!

Saw more of your work, including your eldar. My. I understand being humble. But what a smooth paintjob your produce. First word for the eldar guradian was "crisp" that came to mind. Definatly would do well with precision work, you certainly could give some very good models out there the paintjobs they deserve.

Beautiful jobs on the models they look great. On a side they look great with the shop background there almost like they are plotting their take over lol.
