Greetings guys.

After seeing a vid of a lego space marine force, link below. I was curious what it would be like to assemble an entire force using lego, just seems like a really fun idea. For example an inquistion force with customized star wars minifigs mounted on 25mm bases. Has anyone ever done this and if so what did other players think of it when used in game?

Here's a comparison between an ork burner and a lego ork wierdboy. I had to use small legs otherwise the size difference would be too noticable. He's still alittle bigger but i doubt it should make a difference in friendly games.

I've seen lots of lego figures see combat.
There's even a set of rules to cover them.

Brickwars.

I've seen Star Wars Stormtroopers v space marines in lego fight each other. The first game used Brickwars. The second used 40k. Brickwars was a much better and smoother game (and is better written).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

I think it's a cute idea and I wouldn't mind if it was done properly. Especially in friendly games.

I would love to see a Lego army across the table from me.

If someone has the patience and imagination to put one together, then heck yea I'm gonna play them.

Yea... he knows its been done with SM, he linked the video in the OP...

To the OP, i think its a cool idea but only in a VERY friendly game. I would be more fun to say to your friends, you all have 2 months to build 1000 point armys with nothing but legos and do it as an all out Lego battle.

40k Orks On the way!! Battleforce, 6 Deffkoptas Purchased and lotsa custom/kitbashing for additional support... 0 Painted

I might be more understanding of the Lego thing depending on the age of the player (not old enough for a job, etc) or if you had only 1 squad of legos because you're play-testing something before purchase.

But otherwise, I'd probably turn down a game as well.

Sorry guy, doesn't look like you had a very good turnout for this :(

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Knowing the cost of legos. If someone did a high quality lego army (like the above picture) I would totally play them. They probably out spent me by 200 bucks.

Yeah thats kind of what I was thinking.

If not for the mediocre who would be great, and thank goodness for those who are just terrible they make even those who are mediocre look great

If they're well done and obvious effort and time is put into them (see picture a few a post above) then i'm ok with a friendly game. If they're just the base lego bodies or not done well i would have to turn down a game.

What, you mean you have issues playing the guy that just buts grey models on the table all the time, and if they are marines uses a different dex each time he shows up but with the same grey unfinsihed models....I can't imagine why that would be an issue.
