Looking ahead to Rock Wars at the end of the month. Here is what I have so far.
Core Army:
Highborn w/ Bow of Loren, Arcane Bodkins
Spell Weaver (LVL 4) w/ Wand of Wych Elm
Noble w/ BSB, Asendi's Bane, Hail of Doom Arrow
Spell Singer (LVL 2) w/ Divination Orb
20 Glade Guard w/ Banner, Musician, Banner of Eternal Flame
10 Glade Guard w/ Musician
10 Glade Guard w/ Musician
10 Glade Guard w/ Musician
10 Glade Guard w/ Musician
Treeman
Option #1: Add one unit of 9 Treekin (S5, T5 and Lore of Beasts makes for a tough 27 wounds to get rid of and is good for taking on reduced blocks and enemy monsters)
Option #2: Add a second treeman and 30 more Glade Guard (3x units of 10)
Option #3: ??? I have spent 1847 points on the core so far and have a lot of flexibility.

Divination Orb is a bet meh now, you are better off taking a dispel scroll, between that and your level 4's wand of wych elm you should be pretty confident at your ability to shut down the enemy's magic phase.
Also, you need to pick your the lore for your level 4 at list creation.
Some people like beasts for the sig and the bolt thrower, others such as myself prefer life for the miscast protection, resurrection and flesh to stone and honestly, there is no particularly right answer.
Since this is a GT, one Treeman by himself will simply not cut it, you need two or go home, since cannons will just eat him, even with his 5+ psuedo ward.
Finally, you NEED two great eagles for redirection and warmachine hunting if you are to even hope to compete.
Another poster on here (tmarichards) put it quite nicely a while ago when he said.
"If it isn't an eagle or dryads and it can't shoot, it stays at home". Although treekin do have their place.

Charmed Shield on the Highborn is an addition that I really like.
I'd go with the Dispel Scroll over the Wand on the Level 4, and I wouldn't bother with the hero mage at all.
Next thing to jump out at me is that you have no Dryads. Getting in 2 units of 8 should be a high priority.
A champion on the big Glade Guard unit is nice.
I agree with Krellnus that a single Treeman is just free points for a lot of opponents. Either double up on them, or take 2 units of Treekin instead. I'd be inclined to go with the Treekin instead as it frees up your rare points for Waywatchers and Eagles.
I think your Glade Guard count is also a little low atm, I'd personally get it up to around 75 ( 6x10 and 1x15) at which point I find them to have diminishing returns if you take many more.

I agree with previous posters that current list is weak in terms of synergie. You got lots of archers and Treeman is the ONLY CC unit... If You want to do into denial-harrasment list, then drop him and take Eagles instead. What I'd take instead of treeman are ih terms of priority - dryads, wardancers, treekin. You can afford both former, but to fit in the latter You'd have to drop one of those small archer units.

Thanks all for looking at it so far. Let me mull it over and I'll post some revisions. I was planning on having the LVL 4 use beast. The real issue I have right now after some test games to get an initial feel for the army (I've played a grand total of 6 games as a WE player) is that I have nothing to reliably deal with Steam Tanks and Chaos Dwarf Iron Demons. Any ideas for this?

Lore of Life works better with lots of archers - Beasts is good when You have many forest spirits in your army.

Lore of Beasts helps out quite a bit with those things, with Amber Spear.
Failing that, double fleeing and mass shooting will eventually bring most things down.

I agree totally with most about having one more treeman or none at all.
Treekin are good But why have 9, if you have them 3 per rank only two ranks can hit right?
I also agree on eagles, they are good point investment for war machine hunting.
I would say drop the orb and go for dispel scroll. With that and wand you should easily keep up with enemies magics
As kell us said. I don't like way watchers very much, in high points games it's hard for the to hide, and they die easily with
Magic missile spells as their armor sucks.
Btw go for two treemen and 2 eagles. Dryads are nice but 2 squads of 8 are more like a waste, don't think they can do many things.
The lowest number I use them is 12. Also if you go for double treemen go for lore of life. I always find it good to heal them and most spells are usefull for WE. +4 toughness WE rocks.

That totals to exactly 2500. I've considered dropping the Level 2 to a Level 1, but don't know where to reallocate the remaining points to. It would led me add a champion to the treekin and musicians back to the other two GG units. His real purpose is to let the Weaver roll the free dispel dice on spells in combination with his wand of wych elm.

This list is nastier. It is a tough choice about that lvl since with Athel Loren lore he won't be casting anything useful apart of Tree-singing perhaps... At the same time, musicians on Glade Guard are sort of priority, though it is not such a big deal either. Champ on treekin is total waste however. Did You consider dropping two of those 10 x GG teams and taking 2 x 10 Dryads instead? This still leaves You with 40 archers and decent tree-spririt part of the army - 20 dryads, 6 treekin and 2 treeman are scary.

Yes this lists way better. I would say to go to lvl 1 singer and go for musicians for all your GG units.
I think they need them definitely. I don't think the points for a treekin champ worth it for only +1 attack boost.
Apart from that the list is fine and it can be competitive.
However please do answer me this: can you reroll HoD with asendi's bane?

Sadly, no. HoD specifically prohibits magic items from effecting it. But Asendi's Bane is a good 10 point item. I could drop the Bane and the Treekin Champion and that would leave me about 30 points to do something with after putting musicians back in the GG, but I'm not sure what else it would be spent on.

No, because HoD explicitly says that all effects from magical bows are ignored. The reason why AB is usually taken is because WE BSB cannot take mundane bows and AB is the cheapest option available for that usual one shot per game.

Be aware that You need a bow to shoot the HoD and if You drop AB, then You just as well could drop HoD - or give it to lvl 1. Btw, did You consider giving Moonstone of Hidden ways to lvl 4 (he will sit in 20 GG unit, right?) Position in the forest, wait for them to come after You and then SUDDENLY You are somewhere else on the table (just make sure that there is another forest to teleport into).

No many things possible to add with so little pts.
Go for a couple GG in one 10 man unit or the larger one, the 20 sized.
I think this list for these points is competitive enough.
Though you still lack a couple of eagles for war machine hunting.
Can you can something to fit at least one? Whats their cost? 50 pts?
