I recently purchased the Ogre Kingdoms battalion from GW, as you may know its contents include 6 ogre bulls, 6 ironguts and 4 ledbelchers, however all of the bodies used for the aforementioned models are on the ogre bulls weapons sprues, in that with this kit one could make 16 ogre bulls rather that the listed models. My question to you is, in your opinion is it better to take 6 ironguts, 6 more bulls to add on to the ironfist bulls already made or 6 bulls as a separate additional combat weapon unit.

For starting I would go 6 each. This should get you through 1k maybe even more, if you need to you can buy ogre bodies off ebay 6 for $25 to make more bulls. Also if you ever get mourfang generally ironfists are considered better on them so you can use the great weapons in those for my iron guts. 2 Battalions, 6 extra bodies and 2 boxes of mornfang will give you 16 Ironguts enough for a solid gutstar with characters and 14 bulls which is enough plus a mourfang unit.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Currently running 8 leadies, 6 bulls, 2 mornfang, and a butcher.
What are the pros and cons to running the 6 ironguts as you said?

Gutstar is the standard ogre list in which you take a big block of ironguts with the standard of discipline. either 3 wide or in a horde of 6. You put all your characters in it. Including your crown of command BSB. Ideally, they should go in the second rank so that the unit doesn't lose the general(slaughtermaster) or rerolls and stubborn(BSB). Then you take 2 blocks of 4/5 mournfangs and 3 lone cats.
