Chaos isn’t a pit. Chaos is a ladder. Many who try to climb it fail, and never get to try again. The fall breaks them. And some are given a chance to climb, but refuse. They cling to the realm, or love, or the gods…illusions. Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is, but they’ll never know this. Not until it’s too late.

I'm sorry but it highlights everything that is wrong with doube FOC, could you imagine how boring it would be playing against that.

Fixed that for you.

This list looks amazing, and would look even more amazing in person. Sooo much dakka.

All your opponent would have to do would be to sit back outside of 48" and out shoot your lootas then pick off your gretchin from behind the guns.
Quick qeustion, did you take deep striking lists or drop pop lists into account?

There arn't many weapons that can take out Lootas from over 48" away. And its going to be very rare that its even possable. 48" is most of a board.

I would love to see this in action!

It's not unbeatable (take anything with some CC, and a save (heck, you can probably do it without a save (kroot)).

The only things that'll hold up in CC are the boyz. Shoot them and assault the rest.

However, no Ork list is truly "balanced" and "effective" at once, as Orks are a bit more of a rock-paper-scissors force.

As per any actual bugs with the list besides the above:

Are the PKs on the Big Meks really necessary? They're meant to sit back and support.

Other than that, I'd love to play against this list!

I think it looks great and really characterful. The new artillery rules will make it pretty resilient, but the above comments are right- if you get assaulted by even a couple of choppy units you will die.

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

lobbas and zzap gunz are just downgrade from kannon so I would drop those.

Why so many ammo runts? Grots are bs 3 and extra crew is much more usefull (T7 grots!)

Also like other poster have said deep striking units are your achillies heel especially deepstriking terminators.

The KFF mek seems pretty pointless. I would give him mega armor or SAG.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

The grots manning the guns are T7 and in ruins or behind an aegis.

The lootas can go to ground behind an aegis for a 2+ cover and continue to snap fire their weapons.

Hanging out with an entire army hiding 49" or more away from the ork lines and using only long ranged firepower against entrenched units won't yield much in results. Also the shokk attack gun and Icarus lascannons can reach out past 48"

Deep striking/drop podding units are going to land in middle of a hornets nest. Lots of dakka followed by assaulting with a large mob of shoota boys. The only thing I can't defend against is deep strikers mowing down lootas in the shooting phase by getting behind the defense line, but each unit is only 75 points.

The counter to a gunline this resistant to shooting is a full assault army,

Seriously though peeps . Your pointing out that that a gun line will get screwed by melee. How long have we done this? How long are we going to do this?!
DUH! Its a GUN LINE! Not a freaking shield wall! We all know how it crumples so move on. Tell us something we don't all already know.

Ooops. there I go on my soap box again. Damn you internets! You foiled my nice guy approach again!

And dude. I totally want to see a looted Baneblade right in the middle of that line. What an awesome centerpiece that would make right?

KFF was to protect the 60 boys.

Zzap guns I might drop, but I'm more likely to keep a unit of lobbas. They are mostly there to threaten AV14, but are not that great at it.

The 3 ammo runts means the kannons dish out 3 turns of firepower in 2 turns. On average in 2 turns they will dish out 6 shots, 3 hits, and 3 misses. With 3 ammo runts the 3 misses turn into 3 more shots, which is 9 shots in 2 turns. I think of ammo runts as 3 point hunter killer missiles.

On lobbas. I have played with griffons quite a bit with my IG. With an ammo runt the lead shot can be TL so they can really punish clustered units, especially deep strikers that shoot rather than run. The main thing I want the lobbas to do is force opponents to spread out and hit units that were forced to disembark from transports. Though I might just trust in frag from the kannons, I am tempted to dump the lobbas/zzzap for more lootas.

You have 2 sets of aegis I'm pretty sure they are more than enough to cover all your models with that nice 4+ cover save.

And by not great at threatening av 14 you mean utterly useless as str 5 lobbas might have some slight difficulty glancing av 14. Kannons are str 8 or 4.

Still 3 ammo runts per crew seems a bit excessive. You propably wont always have line of sight and t7 grots are pretty nice as the 2 that come to kannon can still die fairly fast. It's a dakka vs toughness question.

Well I believe you have got there pretty much all that orks can offer with double FoC. Now I just imagine that other armies can bring even more broken lists.

The "BUT HE STARTED IT" excuse doesn't apply 40k list building. Just because someone else can abuse a double FOC doesn't mean you should too.

Its not a matter of making excuses. Its not a matter of if i abuse it. Its the fact that the option is there and players with arguably OP list already can break them even more.

To me I think its fine, but I think there are other Ork gunlines build that could be many times better.

The zapp guns are a waste now. If it was back in 3rd ed codex they would be awesome but not so much anymore.

This army is going to be weak against alot of armies IMHO. But if spamming big guns is what you want to do I say go for it. It would be kind of fun to play if you like the gunnline armies.

The rules alloy us to use 2 FOC. I don't see a problem with him doing so. I think he could get a bit more from the 2 FOC then what he has here. But its really his choice in the matter.

Good luck with it should be fun.

Not quite sure what the fascination is with the double FOC. You can make a perfectly good gunline, spam or not without doubling up and I don't think it would be less effective.

Soemthing like the following and while spam does not feel quite as bad as the double FOC spam.

While it is spammy in that it's the same mobs repeated it's still a lot less gimicky I feel and obviously doesn't abuse the double FOC. BUT only one squad PER ARMY can be upgraded to 'Ard boyz, meaning it's illegal as is =P
