Hi guys, I've just written a review of the box for Tale of Painters if anyone is interested. Click my sig, or this link here.

If reading reviews isn't your thing, how about a discussion. In my review I mention how there are no painting guides or detailed fluff what so ever about Bane's Landing where the conflict is held. Is this a ploy by GW to get us to buy the ibooks painting guide app and the Hard Back novel or are they just keeping things simple for the newbies?

Annoyingly, mine just " departed" the facility that is less than twelve miles from my place. I hope that depart means out for delivery.

It's an obvious ploy, in my opinion. Why give something away when you can charge people for it?

As far as "keeping it simple", newbies are the ones the painting guides are really made for in the first place, and fluff helps get someone more immersed in the world, which makes them more likely to buy more stuff. I don't think it would have hurt them to put a painting guide and a short story or two in the box but well, you know.

Mine's been in transit for going on for five days now if that's anything to go by... You preorder stuff to get it before everyone else, or at least on the same day. It'll be monday now before I see it (or to be exact, monday when it shows up, and later in the week that it gets sent out again seeing as I'll be at college during the delivery hours). Bit of a fail on the Royal Mail's part. =/

Seriously guys. We already have an "everything about the 6th edition boxes set" thread, then we already have a 2nd "unboxing" thread. So this makes 3 threads about the same subject on the front page.

Can we please keep everything in one spot.
