I have never run warkbikers in my lists, and I would desperately love to try them out. My questions relate then to how to use them best?
What size of a squad should I take?
Should I run them as Nobs or normal warbikers?
How should I kit them out?

The majority of my games will be 1500 points.

Most people will tell you to take nob bikers over warbikers, and Id agree with that. You use normal bikers basically like mobile bigshoota platforms, so stay out of combat and shoot the piss out of things. If your going nob bikers, then load them up similar to how you normally setup nobs, just add bikes basically. Nob bikers are badasses because they are T5 and so only str10 will ID them (and obviously weapons that cause it of course) and it makes anything str4 and lower struggle to hurt them at all.

So if its bikers, play keep away and shoot shoot shoot. If nob bikers, position yourself for a nice charge, move in, blast away and then crush face. Nob bikers squad size should be a typical nob size of between 5 and 7 in your points range, and biker boyz, Ive heard small squads all the way up to large ones. Thats more of a play it a few times and see what fits your play style.

I would add remember Precision shots and LoS with your nobs.

Also never be scared of charging into cc.

You'll want nob with klaw and bosspole for warbikers. Say about 9.
You'll want cyborg bodies, painboy, a couple of klaws, bosspole. Also make sure they are troops. Say about 5.

Don't forget the Waagh! Banner. It's probably the single most powerful upgrade nobz can get.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

Personally, I like Warbikers.

You get a 4+ armor and cover save, Hammer of Wrath, a Boy's statline for 25 points and it's got a slightly shorter twin-linked big shoota on it.

You have to be careful when you run them though. They're fewer in numbers so you have to be extra careful with positioning.

They're also great at teaming up, so you can have a squad go behind a transport (AV10 rear like they all are), open fire into it (S5 Twin-Linked!), and most likely wreck it or maybe blow it up. Then you have another squad or the original squad (Heck, you might want to use both) charge and rip up the contents.

I like to run them in smaller squads (4 + Nob with Power Klaw and Bosspole, as you can take saves against Bosspole wounds), but I also see people that suggest putting them up in the fearless range.

However, if you're just wanting to run a squad or two in your Fast Attack slot, Wazdakka probably isn't worth it. A biker boss would be more cost efficient instead.

One more thing about Nob upgrades, Kombi-Skorchas are worth having on everyone in the unit.

D3 S5 hits for Overwatch, is brutal and has managed to get me double to triple my points on the upgrade back in every game so far.

Best quote of the day. Even Flash Gitz will rip apart in CC. Even if they are quite expensive.
So !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS Just get some nobz in CC, against weak things, and pile in the attacks! (No BC's losta bashin')
Good luck

Based on this, I am thinking of rolling with:
Warboss on a warbike, PK
5 nobs on warbikes, Pk + BCs, Cybork, Waaagh! Banner,
Painboy on warbike

How we looking????

Warboss could use a attack squig, as you may as well, also give him cybork body.
Where are the bosspoles. I would even try 2.

They cost as much as a tooled up Nob mob of the same size. Just sayin.

And Jidmah is right, Id say the WAAAAGH! banner is probably just as important to Nobz and a PK in the unit. WS5 is just the tits

That is incorrect.

That would be grand, but I can't find any wording that clarifies this. There is no "character" option in the unit that I can find unless you are talking about the painboy?
If the painboy is our only option for LOS wound allocation, then its a joke, because short of being forced to do it, I don't ever want my painboy taking wounds at all.

Agreed. I actually dont run Nobz unless they are in boyz units. So this FAQ doesnt hurt me at all. But still, thats a big ol ouch right there. It does however make me curious what our new Dex will look like with all these crazy changes going on

The only thing loosing LOS shinanigans did for Nob squads reduce them from OMFG these guys are OTT, to damn that is one really strong unit.

Its clear that GW got sick of what they were hearing about LOS and its abuse. So they took it away from everybody. Your nobs will still wreck face. Its not like they lost a wound, or suddenly are S2.
