Single Wulfen vs. Single Death Company.
Wulfen has what's left of it's armour. Death Company in full armour with Chainsword
He goes Wulfen are the most psychotic things the SM have (we ignored Angron and World Eaters ) I immediately reply with Death Company, Dakka decides.

Far out this is a hard one... TT wulfen wins for the same cost, but fluff? Dayum, If you just chucked both in an arena I would think both would end up killing each other, they are both psychopathic so I guess it's whether the moon is out or not

I go with BA death company. Lets think about it, fully armored chainswords and weapons. I've read they keep fighting even when a normal astartes would be long dead from wounds. They're just as ravenously blood hungry as wulfen except armored and almost... possesed.

This is a very tough one...one wolfy can shredd a whole company of SM and also shrug a bolter fire (evidence in TS book, they can only be stopped with a clear shot in the head ) but DC has more brain matter (left) and can be more controled....but hell I don't know, Wulfen are like pure animals and DC is PSYhotic..
Muscles and Toughness= Wulfen (yeah they shred armor with ease)
Psyhotic Crazynest and tactical deployment = DC
one on one in melee - Wulfen is clear winner
and if you add a whole company of Wulfen ( which there are none ) it's baw wau wau yipi yo yipi ye for the Lycan

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

I don't see how wulfen is the clear winner. 1 on 1 a DC marine took out a dreadnought in the BA Omnibus. He died of his wounds shortly after, but that is no small feat.

Ok- but sacrifice doesn't count as victory in melee...but I do admire BA kamikaze style
OP should add tie(both of them dead) in the poll

In Fear to Tread you get a chance to see the Space Wolves' opinion of "Death Company-ish" Blood Angels. He compares them to the normal Space Wolves. Well kind of.
Fear to Tread spoiler:
Where as:
ATS page 539 on wulfen wrote:Their claws could tear through battle-plate with ease, and their teeth were vicious as any energized blade.
On an extra vicious Space Wolf.
Wulfen wins 8 out 10

Not quite. What was unleashed in Fear to Tread was the Red Thirst, not the Black Rage that the Death Company suffers from. They are not the same curse.

On the table top, the Wolfin will probably win. While in the fluff arena, it would be tie with both dead. The wolfin would tear into the DC with his claws and do some real damage. The DC wouldn't stop fighting until the wolfin stopped moving. Only then to realize that his body is missing most of its important parts and collapses into a heap of shredded bone, muscle, and organs.

This is a hard one since i don't know their fluff much.
I said DC because his still got his armour, but after reading that wofen can bite through and claw through armour like paper then that puts them to be very close.
If they exchanged punches or attacks they both would be focus on attacking and not defending so both of them would chop each other's head off at the same time.

Not quite. What was unleashed in Fear to Tread was the Red Thirst, not the Black Rage that the Death Company suffers from. They are not the same curse.
Not completely the same thing because "The Black Rage" does not come into affect until after Sanguinius' death. There is however "The Company of Death" and it's that curse that's brought out. So what's seen in Fear to Tread is the same thing but caused by a different effect.

No it isn't. The company of death they refer to is made up of dead marines that have fallen to the Red Thirst, it isn't the Death Company that we know now. Currently, the Red Thirst can lead to the Black Rage, but the Red Thirst is something that can come and go during battle just as we see in Fear to Tread. The Black Rage is on a whole other level, they frequently babble to themselves during the time leading up to the battle and they constantly rev their chainswords. Red Thirst is a bloodlust, like we see in Fear to Tread. Black Rage turns them into full on psychopaths.

The Black Rage is just the loss of control to the Red Thrist. For modern "Death Company" the memory of Sanguinius' death is just the catalyst through which control is lost. What we see in Fear to Tread is the same loss of control through a different catalyst. The Blood Angels who go through this loss of control in the book are killed and become part of the "Company of Death". With the exceptions of the ones who

Wulfen.
They can actually be lucid if the change happens gradually enough. The 13th company is almost entirly Wulfen, but they still continue to fight with tactics(guided by the non-wulfen)
So the Wulfen may not be crazy. Animalistic certaintly, but not completely gone from sanity.

Wrong. The Red Thirst can come upon Blood Angels during battle and abate afterwards, they feel it clawing at them during combat and they usually resist it. The Black Rage comes with little or no warning and is comprised of different symptoms. Read the BA omnibus, you will see members of the Death Company standing in their drop pod racks waiting for the battle to start. They are mumbling to themselves and are very twitchy, but it is obvious that they are not suffering from any sort of bloodlust at that point. They are two different afflictions. However, that does not mean that members of the Death Company do no immediately fall to the Red Thirst as well once the fighting starts, after all they no longer care enough to resist it.
EDIT: Perfect example of what I'm talking about is the tabletop rules themselves. You roll a die at the beginning of the game for all units that have the Red Thirst rule. Those units that fall to the Red Thirst through those rolls do not become Death Company do they? They are still the same unit they always were, but they now suffer from a bloodlust. Death Company marines are in a very different situation.

If we were to consider equipment as a factor in this, I would lean more towards the Death Company. Wulfen v power-armor and chainsword, 50/50. Kitted out wulfen- still a wulfen, kitted out death company comes thundering out of the sky with a thunder-hammer and jump pack. Or, better yet, anyone can succumb to the black rage, as best represented with the models, in a dread. Wulfen v Dread is not a good matchup for the wulfen.
