ok, i thought a bit about a few of the comments and decided that, as i read somewhere, the death company are just deathwing, but a bit worse. The points could also go elsewere. I came up with a new list which still focusses on close combat, but uses the things that are good for blood angels
DA
Belial Maxed termy squad termy squad (cml) land raider crusader
I also will stick to the blood angels codex as it has more flexibility. I also find the BT codex a bit difficult to utilize and i dislike any rule that makes me move my units in one direction, even if it is fluffy.

I agree, while the images online are funny I find seeing the hateful language/curse words and gestures to be quite disturbing. Not that language bothers me particularly, I just think the lore behind the game is violent enough, having units like this on the table at a FLGS and some young kid seeing things they should not is what is upsetting to me.
I'm still waiting for someone to actually build an angry landraider launcher.
7 Ork facts people always get wrong: Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other. A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot. Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests. Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books. Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor. Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers. Orks do not have the power of believe.
dont worry about the language/gestures, i am also one of those people who dislikes them being too crude and well, you know. As for an angry marines launcher... ill think about it. When my project really begin (ie. holidays) then ill see what i can do. Only thing is everything is so $*^@ing expensive here in aus

So let me get this straight: it's ok for kids to see violent battles. It's ok for kids to see chaos cults dedicated to harvesting blood and skulls. It's ok for kids to see DE, an entire race dedicated to torture and death. It's ok for kids to see the Imperium choose genocide as a default strategy. It's ok for kids to see the inquisition kill entire planets to preserve their secrets. It's ok for kids to see rulebook art showing these things in explicit detail. But it's somehow NOT ok for a kid to see the word " " written on a model.
You know, I think that may have been the single dumbest thing I've seen today...
(Plus, you're a hopeless idealist if you think that any kid that's old enough to understand how to play 40k isn't saying all of those things already.)

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

Look, if it's not offensive then it's fine.
If it's offensive, then it's offensive. People can be offensive if they want, but it's generally frowned upon in real life. Especially if it's in a social setting where you want to have repeated friendly encounters with people.
Sheesh, it's disappointing that you need that pointed out to you.
"Did you ever notice how in the Bible, when ever God needed to punish someone, or make an example, or whenever God needed a killing, he sent an angel? Did you ever wonder what a creature like that must be like? A whole existence spent praising your God, but always with one wing dipped in blood. Would you ever really want to see an angel?"

His point was that it's beyond stupid that is deemed to be so much worse than a game where corrupt servants of Daemons from an extra-dimensional hell rips out your intestines and strangles you with them while singing Kumbaya to appease their dark Gods.
For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

I can't avoid them when someone else brings them to the club, can I? And while profanity is fine, deliberately offending people just for the sake of being offensive is not something people should aspire to in a friendly community.
Says the grey knight player...
Hating Necrons is the new bangwagon. Didn't you get memo?
Hating on Grey Knights is still 100% reasonable.

They're your minis. Do what you want with them. I've made a Segway commander for my buddy's birthday, a zombie IG Vet (his always die) for a later birthday, and a Pulp Fiction inspired Afro wearing Chaplain, just for grins.
But I wouldn't build a whole army around them. I do actually like the 40k fluff and try to stick to it as best I can.
