I am Posting to say hi. I have played 40k For about 10 years off and on. I curently just started a Dark Angels army and have a Death Korps of Krieg imperial guard army. I currently admin a local 40k gaming clubs forum called the high lords of terra and am a founding member. I also play necromunda and mordhiem. I also am an avid LEGO collector and have collected since the 80s.
here is something I recently painted from the new box set

over the coils edges and anywhere you want the glow I do a lite dry brush of white scars white. then another dry brush over the same areas with tekles (this is probably spelled wrong) blue. after that I do a lite dry brush just on the coils them selves of white again.

btw trick is be knowledgeable about the lite source and how bright it is
