TWS is great, don't get me wrong, but I'd prefer to atleast see the game/ minis on the main site first.

I usually have no issue with WL site. I placed an order this evening and it took forever to complete my purchase. Something odd.

At the gent who ordered the German army deal and did not get scenic bases: They don't come with scenic bases. Those are modeled for the guns by WL.

Also on bases, my British mortar and HMG teams arrived with no bases. Did someone mention that they should have?

Hmm, they should have according to their site or at least the mortar

For the record, the site is working MUUUCH better today. I'll be picking this game up once I decide which nation to start with.

Question for anyone who's bought the new russian box but how many weapon sprues are in it?

Reason I ask is this

It's an army deal with essentially 80 russians, a tank, and a few specialists guys for free. Yes the tank is resin/metal, but 120 bucks for a fully manned Russian army sounds really awesome with tax returns coming for me soon.

Only thing that bugs me is there are 8 infantry sprues but only 5 weapons sprues, and I feel like there should be 6 or something.

Looks like you're getting a weapons sprue for every sprue of Russians, otherwise I fear there won't be enough rifles to outfit every model in the boxed set.

didn't realize there are only 8 bodies per sprue.

That means there are only 64 plastic russians in that battleforce, which makes that deal slightly less tempting.

Only eight bodies per sprue? Heh, other Bolt Action sprues only have five men per sprue.

Ummm, that's not a soldier....soldiers are in the Army. Lewis "Chesty" Puller is a Marine. Not the same...just ask any of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children and they'll tell you so.

Speaking of the USMC, are there going to be boxed sets for them for BA? I saw there was an army list in the US book for them and was wondering if they were getting their own sets.

In personal news, finally got my copy of Armies of the United States and yay, rules for the shotgun are in.

As a curiosity, for those that are interested in that sort of thing, the British Army source book is written by Jake Thornton and the Russian Army source book by Andy Chambers.

Also, any guesses on who the special edition Russian might be? Perhaps Vasily Zaytsev?

Well crap looks like I'm starting a Russian army now.

I don't care how worthless it is, something that awesome needs to be fielded on the tabletop.

There is no official list entry for it just yet, but chances are it will sport a heavy howitzer, be slow and benefit from the same "Armoured all round" rule as the KV-1.
