Through the looking glass

Basically, I've found myself in possession of a very large box of PC games. However, some of them are...well, I would say trash. By that I mean I've got...

Tabula Rasa
WoW battle chest
WoW
Burning Crusade
Rise of the Lich King
Everquest
Dark age of camelot
etc.etc.

So either the game servers no longer exist or they're serials have already been used on another account (most if not all unverified but I'm 99% sure they're all used)

So should I just throw it away? I'd hate to do that but I don't know what else to do with it.

The Tabula Rasa servers shut down a couple of years ago so the CD is basically an expensive coaster. The others are still operational though, and represent a fair portion of MMO history, so they are worth trying.

Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

I'd trash them, without serials it's useless, MMO's these days are easier to buy digital anyway.

Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

Use them as a pallet for your paint if you don't use a wet pallet. Its what i used before I switched.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

Behind you

Everquest is still around and is FREE. Plus the GM base is by far and large better than WOW and blizzard, actually taking the time to ask questions and help you out if you are an old hand coming back.

I came back in EQ, did about 3 months of EQ, and enjoyed it greatly, quit only because WAR came out with their freeplay variant, but I probably will go back into EQ.

You could try making an account with the serial numbers that you have. It is easier to simply download the client for MMOs (and as these games are old a basic install will require a lot of patching) but if you have a limited internet connection it may be worth installing from the disc.

Guess I'll give it a try, but a few are P2P so I'll pass.

A good thing is there was a couple goodies in the box though.

Wizardry 8, two copies of Baldurs Gate, Clive barkers undying, system shock 2, Planescape torment, Fallout 1,2,tactics collection, etc.

The previous owner had good taste at least.
