Hey guys/girls
I'm getting back into 40K and have new ideas for it, but don't know how to go about it, and I'm posting this to see if any other champions in the services of chaos could help.

ATM I'm not making an army for slandered games using points etc (I already have a Steel Brethren army for that haha) it's for a campaign me and my friend are planing were out pointing each other and being inventive for fun is what we want to do

I was thinking a walker heavy mech army with support artillery from behind and airborne support and air transports and a lot of cool looking marines and tanks

The bit I'm having problem with is ideas for the walkers, I've already converted a defiler to stand on two legs and has two 'normal' arms holding weapons I've nearly finished, but I don't know what else to do, I like the idea of giant mech like walkers walking with infantry, but not Titan size, so I'm not to sure what to use for conversion
and for airborne I have no idea what to do there

Sorry if anything doesn't make sense, I'm very tired as I'm writing this haha, I'll happily explain anything that didn't make sense

Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

You could try something like this.

http://blog.spikeybits.com/2012/06/how-to-stormtalon-assault-walker.html

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss

Ah, a man after my own heart, my Death Guard army is seriously Walker heavy (Dreadnoughts, Contemptors, Hellbrutes, Defilers, Decimators - so many to choose from!)

Some of my favourite walker conversions are actually from Dakka:

I have a lot of old-style Contemptor dreads, so I used this guide when making my own. Legs are tricky but overall I love the look:

I have a Dystopian Wars Metzger on order to I can pull off something like this:

Not a huge fan of the style but it makes a decent base and I'm sure with all those rivets it'll look awesome in an IW army. Hard to go wrong with a walker that big for half the cost of a Dread!
