Has anyone bought any of these models from puppetwar.eu?
How do they measure up to GW Wraith models - size-wise?
I would rather get these as they are cheaper (£30 for a squad of 6), and dont look as fragile as the GW ones

They look cool and I've had good experiences with Puppetwar stuff before. I'd say give it a go! Since they're designed as not-Wraiths, they're probably to scale with the official models, or at least damn close.

I've got a set of them here. I ordered them about a week before we saw what the new Wraiths were going to look like.
I think they look great. The downside is that they are on the small side. Maybe 0.5" taller than the metal Wraiths. So they are noticeably smaller than the new Wraiths. I'll probably use the weapon mounts from the new kit and put them on their backs to give them a little extra height.
That being said, I don't feel bad about the purchase. Just keep them out of reach of small children (super fragile arms and spine).

See, fragility (and cost) is what puts me off the new GW Wraiths.
Played my first game with wraiths last night (used the 3 old metal ones i have)....now i HAVE to have them!!!!

Got a few of them. They are indeed fragile, and a bit smaller than the normal ones. But the quality is good, and they, as you can see, look quite good.
I'd say go with it, just know that resin breaks more easily than plastic.

they would be in a separate "fragile" box anyway with my loose Lords and Anni Barges.
How much smaller are they? Are they on the correct sized base? I think the new GW Wraiths are still on the 40mm base....

They do not come on Xmm bases, but the base of the models fit on the correct size bases.

Ok, so i coudl just get some spare GW bases from somewhere to avoid confusion.
Am i right in thinking the new Wraiths come on 40mm "Terminator" bases?

I've got 12 of them. They are ok models for the price. My only problem is the hand sockets, the joint isn't very big at all and the hands easily come off.

I tend to use a Gel Superglue for resin so hopefully that will provide the extra support required.

Maybe, though it's not the glue which is the problem, it's the socket; it's not deep enough for the arm, it literally just about sits in there.

Pinning is not possible. The joints are too small. I mean they are silly small, mate.
All I can say is you get what you pay for. They are cracking models for the price, but the arm joints are the weak point. I've literally caught mine and the hands have come off. The other day a whip coil broke clean off. I have being using the scythe blade on replacement hands, which seems to last a whole lot longer without coming off. Such a shame as the blade fingers are ace.

We'll have to see how it goes then i suppose.
i woudl rather have to be careful and make the odd repair rather than spend doubel the price for bigger models that might break to as easily.
Maybe the anchor points can be built up with a little green stuff or soemthing.

Yes, greenstuff would be fine, but may make the models a bit weird looking. It's just the wrist part is really thin and so is the socket which it goes into.

Ok, they arrived on Saturday but i missed the post as i was working. Picked them up from the Post Office yesterday.
Thought i miht turn thsi into a kind of WIP post in case anyoen else was thiking of geting these models instead of the official Wraith kit.
The quality of the details is good. There's not a lot of flash like you sometimes get with Fine Cast or Forgeworld resin - just a little bit lot of filing required on the bases to make them flat enoguh to glue to a suitable 40mm base. My only real beef is that 4 of the big tail blades didn't survive the journey from Poland - despite the excellent packaging that the cmpany used.
As has been stated above, they are FRAGILE. Every "Wraith2 comes with 3 sets of hands to choose from (whip coil hand, single blade "scythe" arms and claw hands - pretty much liek the old metal wraiths had). out of the 12 whip coil hands that i ordered, i woudl say 7 have arrive intact - the slightest pressue will snap them. Every model gets 2 upper arm sectiosn and you then choose which hands you want to use - so you can mix and match if you want (and you will probably need to as some of the fine bits may well be broken during postage)
I have found that you can spray base paint directly onto the model with no real need to wash them - handy as some of the part are very fiddly and suseptable to being lost down the plug hole.
I've not tried it yet but it looks like there might be enough room to pin the upper body to the lower "tail" end. Otherwise there is very little in terms of contact between them. The arms will not be pinned - the contact point is barely 1mm wide
So far i have only glued the tails into the bases and sprayed the bases and upper "hood" parts. I have been using the last bits of a bottle of GW thin superglue - but for the arms and ball and socket joints going forward i think it would be better to use a thicker gel type superglue for added strength.
