Greetings Fellow Dakkites:
I wanted to create this post as lately I have been very busy with Battleroad Games and Hobbies and in doing so creating tons of new products along with a new website. As such we are going to be posting pictures soon of our Cyber Apes heads and with that I wanted to ask the community to see what they would like to see next? We have a number of ideas for our sculptors to play with but I figured instead of going the route of us just telling them why not ask the community. Also I have listened to feed back from the community of the samples we sent around the country and when the new webstore launches we will be selling our pewter head sets at $8.50 for a set of 9 or $1.25 per individual(sometimes people like one or two specific heads so we like to accomidate them). Here are the ideas though and we will run a poll for the next week and go from that. These are ideas and as such no concept art is being released yet on them.
-Oni Mask heads: These are very Japanese in style and will be a set of 9 heads with Oni on them.
-Egyptian Gods heads: These will be a series of heads actually depicting each of the Gods of Ancient Egypt. I thought about this as I'm a stargate nut.
-While watching Band of Brothers the other day I thought about how fun it would be to have some 28mm heroic scale legs based around paratroopers pants. These would have kneepads armor plates etc and would most likely be a pack of 5.
-So wings are always fun and cool on models and I am sure Pedro would love to sculpt up some insect like wings for us. These would be 2 sets and would be cast in resin.
-Other: Let us know what you would like to see and maybe we can make it come true.
IF OTHER PLEASE EXPLAIN BELOW.

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House! |

The two different head/mask ideas both sound very cool. I remember the original 3E Raptor heads had very samurai-esque beast masks, and a friend of mine used them to convert samurai helmeted marines. Something like those would be pretty awesome.

I'd always wanted to see a nice set of wings, but not bug wings*, so I picked other. I'd like to see demonic\ragged type wings, such as the ones on Tyranid gargoyles. I know there are others on the market, but they are generally one-offs (so making 10 winged Bloodletters, for example, would result in 10 identical wings), and using actual gargoyle wings are both sort of expensive and kind of unwieldy due to the in-flight pose.
This is a minor one, but I'd also always wanted to see PA shoulderpads that have raised\recessed hazard stripes. That's it, just plain hazard stripes. I looked for these and never did find any, and they'd be a real boon to people who have a hard time painting straight lines on curved surfaces.
While I like the idea of Oni Masks and Egyptian god heads (especially the latter) it might be difficult to stand out from Puppetswar and the others who make these, especially with the latter. Oni masks maybe since there is a lot of room for individuality; but I think their product on the Egyptian ones might be so good it's going to be difficult to stand out.
*If those bug wings were cast in clear resin, that would be pretty cool, definitely a unique product.

Some ones that actually look pretty close to the stargate Serpent guards and Horus guards helmets, no other manufacturer does that, they are all rather more similar to death masks.

Interesting thoughts guys and thank you for the concepts. Ouze I will say outright we just can't cast in clear resin as reason being it takes around 24 hours to cure and is just not economical. It would be cool hands down though . Wings are interesting and something I have spoken with our sculptor for a while now and the initial thought is 2 sets of resin wings and why it would be that is one costs vs time. If we cast those in resin we can keep costs lower, probably betwen $5-$8 a pair and a gamer would be able to easily bend the wings with hot water so as to make them unique as well as convey losts of detail.
So after going over Puppetswar.com where we would be different is in versatility. From what I can tell(correct me if I'm wrong) those look like 1 head just ten times. Were we would change it up is you would get 9 different heads and bigger point ours are in pewter AND CHEAPER!!!! 9 pewter heads $8.50 a set... we use the same caster who does Malifaux, Avatars of War and so many more so you know the quality is good . Keep the questions coming as if you guys come up with something great then you may just get some free sets as a thankyou.

Definitely up for the Oni heads - I have Blood Pact guys still to finish.
How's about some extra human arms - maybe doing things like loading artillery rounds, or other activities associated with handing artillery pieces?

I like the idea of artillery arms(especially as I was a 120mm Mortarmen in the army) but the problem with that is we would be towing a extremely fine line on IP infringement and that is one I and my company refuse to even go near as lawsuits are expensive . It's a pretty close run between the Oni heads and the Egyptian god heads. If we do the god heads which would you all want first? Personally I am a fan of Anubis but to each their own .

IP infringement, how so? I would have thought bare arms carrying items like shells, binoculars etc would have been about as generic as you could get?

True and I agree with you but it's just a line we don't really want to go near until we can launch full miniatures in 28mm heroic scale.
For those who have been asking btw our cyber apes heads are now on the way to the caster and we will be running a special soon on them. Buy 2 get one free or buy 5 get 3 sets free! All of this will be going up soon.
