Also, an update on the forthcoming Low Brawl mini/card game: The Low Brawl mini/card game is forthcoming. You'll be able to use any and all of the Low Life minis in the game and each one will come with a card to make that easier.

I've been supporting the Low Life Miniatures Kickstarter and I thought several of you might be interested in it. I love the quirky background and designs and settings. Low Life already has an amazing RPG and background source material, and the Kickstarter is to fund miniatures in 28mm (and larger) to supplement the RPG. There's also been talk of a possibility of plastic miniatures and a skirmish or wargame in the future (not any time soon).

Stylistically, I love Andy Hopp's work and he's recruited some very talented sculptors to work on the project. Several greens are already on display:

Very weird and unique. Reminds me of silly stuff like the Gwar game from around 1999-2000. Nice to see, as these days it seems miniatures gaming is taking itself too seriously. Glad to see it is way past its goal.

Too bad its not a prepainted game, Id be all for it.

This one is extremely creative, love the artwork and ambition.

Why does this have to be so awesome?

I think I may pick up "The Whole Hole" book not through KS, since apparently it is already made and going to hit stores soon. That is just a background / illustration book, right? Whereas the "Low Life core rulebook" is more of a rules book?

Can't see myself using the minis for anything... but the art is awesome in a very zany way, and his text is hilarious!

Yup! And actually if you want the PDF's of both the Low Life RPG and the Whole Hole, you get them for free just for backing this Kickstarter at the $30 level. Immediately. Andy Hopp is just that nice.

But then you should just back at the $50 level and get a pile of cool minis, like 15 or 16 of 'em, and two free giant pdf books... you know you want to...

Well, it certainly got me reading the page quite a bit . Really just interested in the books, though- I have way too many miniatures as-is, with more on the way! I'm surprised there seem to be no book-only backers (presumably some of them already have it ordered from the previous campaign, or have added it to miniatures pledges).

yeah, everyone basically got free PDF's. I personally added the physical copies to my pledge, as The Whole Hole is amazingly detailed and too rich to just look at in PDF form.

So what is the difference between the two books? Is one the fluff of the universe and the other the rpg? book? I have to be honest I'm not sure what the aim of this game is! But I do love the art and the imagination behind it all.

There's the Low Life RPG, and the the Whole Hole vol 1 which is a world-guide-book for the universe and setting.
