Because now you can!
http://www.regretsy.com/2012/09/10/barack-obama-is-tired-of-your-gak/

It's from the audiobook version of Obama's book, Dreams of My Father. As the link will explain, Obama will often voice lines given by people he knew, including a highschool classmate called Ray, who was a little more street oriented than the future president.

Anyway, great fun to be had. But really, really NSFW.

Title changed, link above, once corrected, contains a lot of bad language.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Ah, you have to change 'gak' to 'gak' in the url. Word filter and all.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

That was fantastic in every way. Which one is your new ringtone? Now I wish I believed in cell phones.

Did you guys see the link provided down in the youtube comment sections?

A guy did some serious editting of the audio book, and made a new story called "Son of Strelka, Son of God" And did animations so far to the first three chapters. So strange.

Here's Chapter 1

Is there any way to download them off of the site? Or will I have to go to... seedier... parts of the internet to get them?

Right click on the audio thingy, and safe target. I saved them as MP3s on my harddrive earlier.

Seriously, if Obama announced a press conference tomorrow and said 'Romney ain't gak. Sorry ass melon-fether ain't got nothing on me' he would all the votes.

You know this is true.

Imagine if Morgan Freeman ran for President with Sam Jackson as VP and Wanda Sykes as communications director.

Freeman: So elect this (points at himself) melon-fether, and let us take our country of Americans to heights reserved only for the gods of men.

Reporter: What?

Jackson: What does Morgan Freeman look like?...

Eventually you could throw in something about Hawaiians and good burgers. And, while I don't know what Sykes would say, I know it would be fething great.

I am happier than I was because I now have this dream. But I am also sadder than I was, because I know this dream will never happen.

Jackson:..that's a good burger!

Kenan: Did someone say Good Burger!?!

Jackson: Shut the feth up fat man, this ain't none of your God damn business!

Still don't know what Sykes would say.

You did replace "gak" in the URL with the proper word, right?

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Yeah, the same thing happened when I opened it up on my parent's computer to show them.

Don't know man, maybe try doing it on another computer?

I would bow to Morgan Freeman as president and SLJ as VP. But NO Wanda Sykes. I can't stand her-she manages to piss me off every time she comes on the screen.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
