If chaos, space marines, and Nids were on the same planet all three would fight each other at once right? The space marines would never team up with Chaos to take down the nids. Am I right?

There is a mention in the Tyranid Codex where a Renegade band of Chaos Space Marines abandon their action against a loyalist Chapter recognising that the Tyranid are a larger threat.

They don't exactly make a pact or anything, but they can still work together against a common foe.

Reading it again though, they are from the same Chapter, The Crimson Castellans. But I think the same would happen for any Space Marines.

The nids may take them both on though if there were enough of them - they may not even realise they are fighting on the same "side" if they are just fighting for thier lives.

If it really was a dire situation I guess they could theoretically team up temporarily. Wouldn't bear thinking about the repercussions for the Imperials should they survive though.

How do you guys think this would work in the DDWWC that is going on. I am thinking of having a planet being scouted out by my marines and find Chaos but the world is infested with nids

Sounds fine - you could even have it the other way around or both go to scout at the same time or they are already involved in actions against each other and the Tyranids show up
