With both Warhammer World & my local GW planning small Kill Team tournaments I eager to create a fully converted Kill Team, but first I need to decide on what I’m using?

In case you are unaware of kill team rules it's basically a 200pt game where you can take 0-1 elite, 0-2 troops, 0-1 Fast attack and once the game begins every model is treated independently. Also 3 models can be made 'specialists' and be given a universal special rule (you can not take the same rule more than once) The rule of the game is as soon as your kill team is reduced to under half strength you must take a ld test (using the highest) each turn, once you fail it you team flees and you lose.

Sadly GW’s constant price rises and attitude toward the hobby I decided to not collect any new armies, however this presents me with a chance to flex my creativity again without fear of how much it will cost.
I’ve come up with 3 ideas for fully converted Kill Teams, so the problem now is which one to choose which is why I’m eager to hear your thoughts on each of the ideas?

TAU SHAS'LU'KAR COMMANDOS (SCRAPPED)
This was my first idea as way back when the Tau empire codex was released I converted this cool Commando suit after playing Republic Commando. I was going to go with 6 Stealthsuits but was told by someone who had used a similar list at another tournament not to use that list as I would be easily run down by most kill teams. So this one is a no go; as I’m not keen on spending time creating a team that will be easily run down in most games.

LEGIO CYBERNETICA ROBOT MANIPLE
My current project is a Pre-Heresy Thousand Sons army including detachments of Prospero Spire Guard as well as Cataphract Robots which will be used as allied Wolf Guard terminators (for the combi weapon)

The Kill Team will consist of 4 terminators with combi weapons (one being a Techmarine conversion for the kill team leader) plus two power armoured warriors with storm bolters, converted as Hunter Seeker robots like this pervious conversion but with a bolter on each side.

In the novel the Thousand Son’s robots are painted a regal blue and gold (exp; my army’s Conqueror robots) but I’m thinking it maybe best to paint them in standard Mechanicus colours as some people may not get the blue and gold paint scheme?

BLOOD RAVENS FROM DAWN OF WAR 2
Nothing says Kill team better than the Blood Ravens from the Dawn Of War game, fielded as a Blood Angel stern guard squad…

Captain Diomedes: Power fist (Feel No Pain)
Tactical Sergeant Tarkus: Combi-Plasma
Devastator Sergeant Avitus: Missile Launcher (Relentless)
Assault Sergeant Thaddeus: Combi-Plasma
Techmarine Martellus: Combi-Flamer or melta
Scout Leader Cyrus: Missile Launcher (shrouding)

I feel each of the roles suit the characters nicely, sadly Thaddus couldn't be armed with a close quarter weapon and I couldn’t think of any other way to fit Cypus into the Kill Team, hopefully most people won’t mind a well armoured scout acting as a space marine given the theme.

THE OUTCAST DEAD
Unless you haven't read the novel ‘The Outcast Dead’ was a band of escaped prisoners of marines from the traitor legions that attempted to escape Terra though the slums of the city with an Astropath that held powerful knowledge of the future. The armour they created was batted and salvaged so they’d be converted from Ork, Chaos Maraduer and power armour bits.

They were a powerful group of warriors so I’ll likely be using them as 7 BA Death Company marines.

Atharva - Adeptus Exemptus of the Thousand Sons (Kill team leader equipped with power fist, with either the blind or fear special rule to represent his mind powers)
Tagore - Sergeant, 15th Company of the World Eaters (power sword to represent the shattered halberd from the custodian guard)
Subha - Warrior, 15th Company of the World Eaters
Asubha - Warrior, 15th Company of the World Eaters
Severian (The Wolf) - Warrior, 25th Company of the Luna Wolves (shrouding)
Kiron - Warrior, 28th Company of the Emperor's Children (plasma pistol, his main weapon in the novel taken from one of the guards)
Gythua - Warrior of the Death Guard

The theme has a lot of potential as I could have the astropath Kai Zulane as my objective marker, my only worry is people not knowing who the Outcast Dead are?.

Well what do you think, which theme would you prefer to see converted into a Kill Team?
Hopefully next month I will start work on this project and this thread will become the project log for the idea chosen.re-name this thread.

That cybernetica cataphract looks rad, what's it made out of? I recognize the limbs, but where'd the head and torso come from?

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.

I've not read the Outcast Dead but that idea is full of potential. I love that the dude in that picture has some parts of Thunder Armour on. It might be tricky to model them in rags like the picture (with wooden shields no less) and count them as space marines in power armour though. Also in terms of parts I'd steer clear of Chaos Marauder bits and try Beastmen instead, they have much better sculpted musculature and are more of a Space Marine size. I have a few beastmen torsos on scout legs here and they would just be ideal for this project, so much so that I am tempted to try it myself!

Hurr! Ogryn Bone 'Ead!

On Nimbosa, cramming as many guardsmen into troop carriers as possible.

Legio cybernetica all the way!

Of course mine will be a bit more armoured with a torn off metal door for a shield instead and while I might not have them fully enclosed in Power armour they'll have at least half their body in power armour; torso, gauntlets and the lower half of the legs. I feel the biggest challenge for the project will be finding the balance between the two.

Also BY THE CRIMSON KING; FAQ stats I can give Atharva the psyker special rule!

UPDATES
Made a few adjustments to the cataphract robot conversion; One of the biggest criticisms of the previous model was the fact the legs looked too Tau based in origin. So in response to this I removed the hoof feet and replaced them with interceptor backpacks and plasticard to create more robotic looking feet. I then covered up the joint using part of the barrel of the burst cannon.

Also regarding the outcast dead any idea who the warrior with the beard and fur cloak is? I'm reading the book from when then escape the prison and none of the characters have been described with a beard?
