Heh, I was about to say you seem a little jaded Walrus! On a different note, how you finding them in 6th? I'm loving it, my templars are beating serious face in my FLGS.

Was loving it, then the last FAQ happened. Not as happy now, but I'll keep playing them.

For thirteen years I had a dog with fur the darkest black. For thirteen years he was my friend, oh how I want him back.

Really? What didn't you like? I didn't think it was that bad. Having said that, my list is Land Raider and Terminator heavy, so I wasn't massively affected. Marshals tooled up properly are almost impossible to kill now.

The Righteous Zeal-nerf alone is huge. Furthermore, the removal of Drop Pods for Terminators hurt my list pretty bad. Losing PE was pretty annoying too.

A friend of mine believed that, then my deathwing sergeant tied up the marshal for 5 turns in a challenge.....and ended up winning

Also on the whole SM codices thrown together, well if you are on this site long enough you will see them A LOT, hence many people's cynical views.

Awww what? That sucks! Generally though they are pretty beast. I do wonder that if they did get a new codex what sort of new toys they would get.

Some kind of close combat bikers would be a given, what with mounted knights and all. The rumored release list that may or may not be real had something like "crusader bikers" in it.

Since Black Templars were pretty much created because someone at GW said "Hey we can sell more marines if we create a new army to play!"

I sincerely doubt that GW would Axe what was arguably one of their most profitable codices in 4th edition.

Also since I still believe that Giant leak list to be true, swordbrethen as a separate box kinda locks it since no other part of the space marine codex has an entire unit as a separate box set.

Sword Bros already have a FInecast box. I cant remember the list but there were 3-4 BT-ish listings on there. Neos getting their own set was among them (to set em apart from scouts).

Oh ya, it was hilarious, but thats what you get with having a TH/SS Terminator in your face, honestly I was surprised that he was able to both keep alive for five turns, and kill the marshall

Black Templars and Space Wolves are quite deviant from Codex marines. I think trying to squeeze them into codex Marines book would be more trouble than worth it. DA and BA, on the other hand, are outwardly Codex-adherent so it would be easier in their case.

I guess they could do all of them as just White Dwarf supplements, where they take some basic stuff from Codex: SM and only separate units, characters and equipment would be listed. Similar what they did with 3rd edition books. But I reckon they probably would not.

As said, there is of course inherent danger of "different for sake of different", which is very obvious in BA codex.
