I personally will not be doing so. I'm not particularly inclined to get it, as it's another CoD sequel, rather than a whole new storyline, as the first Black Ops was; this is assuming, it's based on the firs BO storyline, and not some totally new black ops storyline. I didn't preorder MW3 either, as I had done for the previous two games. There isn't a shortage as some salesmen will tell you, and I wanted to wait to make sure it was actually going to be a good game and not just a fanboy game that only fanboys of the series buy because it has the title. MW3 turned out to be great, but mostly because of the Spec Ops, and the introduction of Survival. Is there anyone who knows about BO2 who thinks that it might be anything better than just something that fanboys of the series would be interested it? CoD hasn't seemed to turn into that, but I think it's heading there.

I find Battlefield 3 to be a better alternative to running around in circles and shooting everyone.

That's pretty much what all FPS games are, its just that sometimes the circles are bigger.

At least Battlefield is more advanced about it. And you don't have kiddies yelling.

No call of doodie for me. Only thing on my radar is Borderlands 2, and I don't have the spare time to get into that right now so I'll prolly end up waiting a few months and getting it used.

I like the COD games, but I just prefer single player and the single player game will last a whole 6 hours.. waste of money for me.

After looking into it, it seems that it'll be original. The Black Ops storyline from before was good. I'll wait a week to see what the reaction is though.

The cutscenes in the first one damn near gave me seizures.

Besides the only enjoyable level was the Russian prison one, which seeing as this is set in “THE FUTURE!” will most likely not make an appearance.

Treyarch to me has always been better to CoD then Infinity Ward so I have already pre order Black Ops 2, I have loved this franchise from CoD1 - World at War... Then MW2 came out and suddenly in all went to gak... I didnt even want to give Black Ops a try but I did and i enjoyed it very much. So I expect Black Ops 2 to be just as enjoyable. I dont hate the game like everyone else seems to, and you cannot tell me the franchise hasn't been successful, but in my opinion game developers need to figure out when to end certain games series (Looking at you Nintendo/Blizzard)

Yeah, I agree with that. It seems that the Modern Warfare series has ended, which is at a good point for it. The first was good because it was very realistic. The second was very well done and gave fun arcade single player action. The third one started to feel like more of the same thing, but they were able to make it decent and engaging, plus the spec ops was well done. I only bought it after came out, as opposed to the Black Ops and before. It does start to feel like they're going MAKE GAME ???? PROFIT, but that's why I'm not buying it until I find out whether it's actually worth buying.

In a more tactical way then just that in CoD.

I'll pick it up used or borrow it off one of of my mates eventually. The single player campaign can be enjoyable but the multi's boring as hell for me. If I want multi-player action I go with BF3 and then only when I can get some other Marines on with me. It's freaking hilarious what a few guys with some actual training can do on one of those games... or even a vague concept of actual team work.

Kinda reminds me of that old commercial... I think it was for SOCOM 2 that had some kids getting stomped hard in an online game. "Damn who are these guys?" and it cuts to a bunch of SEALs playing the game in some random sandy location.

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn

My wife preordered it, then I cancelled that and moved the funds elsewhere.

I may pick it up eventually but between the horribad campaign of Black Ops, and the bad multiplayer of MW3 I'm kinda burned out on the series.

Battlefield 3 is doing it for me for now.

Planetside 2 has covered my "shoot mans fight wars" fix for the forseeable future, and I gave up on the CoD series after MW2. I liked that game a lot, but Treyarch-developed CoD games really pale in comparison to the Infinity Ward ones, and now that Infinity Ward as we knew it is dead and gone I have no interest in the series anymore. Shame since I used to adore the franchise, but it's been milked dry. Battlefield 3 also covered the modern combat-style game far better, with more realistic gunplay, destructible terrain, vehicles, larger fights, no stupid garbage like killstreaks, classes that encouraged teamplay, and so on.

I have pre-ordered it yes, however i do not care for the pathetic attempts that CoD makes of a campaign or multiplayer, I only want BO2 for the Zombies, I am a sucker for zombies I have always loved that game mode.

Personally Battlefield is the best multiplayer game, I have played it since Battlefield 1942 and it is an absolutely cracking game series.

Yeah. MW3 turned out good, but I don't want to waste money when the series turns into crap that only fanboys are buying.

It's going to fething happen at some point.
