Is there a Librarian with 3 wounds who can take a SS and TDA? I've got the Space Hulk Libby all done up with a SS and am trying to find the meanest SM Libby he can count as.

To the best of my knowledge, all Librarians are 2 wound or have a different equipment loadout. Then again, I don't have every marine codex, or the Forge World Books, so you might get lucky there.

EDIT: Also, after going over Codex: Space Marines, a TH/SS Librarian isn't even a legal equipment loadout. You can take a Librarian with a Force Weapon, Storm Shield, and Terminator Armour, but not with a Thunder Hammer. The Thunder Hammer on the model itself is fine, as it will just count as a force maul, but you can't take a TH itself on a Librarian, at least in the current marine codex.

But a Libby with SS and TDA is legal in the SM book. (He did not say anything about a Thunder Hammer).

The best I would think would be any SM Libby that can take divination, the re-rolls are very nice.

As for counts as: Draigo would be your best bet (Not technically a Librarian, but close enough).

Who said anything about a TH? Loth from the IA books has 2+/2++ (I could say its the shield instead of the armour). I might go that direction if Draigo is a stretch.

IMO, Librarians and Chaplains should be 3 wounds. Captains and Chapter Masters can get an upgrade to 4.

A friend uses a Librarian in TDA with a SS i have to say its not that impressive in combat, yeah he can take a beating but he dishes out no damage, he'll miss 50% of his attacks wound once only to have it be saved by power armour.

The power maul can be great against alot of armies but in our group most of us play MEQ so its wasted.

Welcome to 4th edition! In 4th nobody ever took Captains because Librarians and Chaplains cost the same they cost now (same price as a Captain) and had the same amount of wounds, psychic powers, and wargear that made them a better value. Captains are bad enough as is right now when you compare them to the support HQs, I like leaving them at 2 wounds.
