Gale Force Nine stakes out new territory with the release of Badlands terrain sets in our popular Battlefield in a Box series.
GF9’s Battlefield in a Box Badlands sets enable you to create a new landscape for your miniature wargame battles, from the stunning vistas of the American Old West, to the desert canyons of Northern Africa, to arid alien worlds in far-flung galaxies. These new terrain pieces were sculpted by Gale Force Nine’s Lizzie Willick. Each piece is pre-painted and ready for your battles right out of the box. These terrain pieces work for any scale of miniature combat. Will your forces dare to cross into Badlands?
The Badlands Plateau is an imposing terrain piece, a large rock formation; it effectively conceals anything from cowering bandits to hulking warmachines. A series of small steppes and knobs allow models to scale the plateau and take advantage of its elevation. The Plateau top is broad enough for a whole squad of troops or an artillery emplacement. The formation is 3 inches high, 10 inches long and 7 ½ inches wide.
The massive Badlands Bluff is a towering feature with broad flat steppes which allow your forces to control every area of the rock formation. The different elevations of the formation allow you to take the high ground or duck behind cover. The top of the bluff is broad enough for multiple models while still offering the cover of smaller formations. The main elevation is 3 inches high with formations that peak at 4 ¼ inches, the entire formation covers an area 11 inches long by 8 ½ wide.
The Badlands Rocks set contain seven (7) different rock formations. The smaller rocks allow most models a clear field of fire while offering cover, the largest rocks can effectively conceal large models. The rocks are perfect for creating a new vista for your miniature wargames. The largest rock in the set is 3 inches high with a 3 ½ inch base. The smaller formations are roughly 1 ½ inch high with a 2 inch base.
With multiple sets of Badlands terrain you can create vast canyons and twisting gullies, the perfect place to ambush a stagecoach or conceal an enemy stronghold. Strange aliens can lurk in the shadow of a towering mesa. An evil dragon can perch atop a promontory, resting before taking wing and laying waste to a band of adventurers. The Badlands series is a bold new look for Battlefield in a Box terrain; allowing your armies to fight in an exciting new environment! These sets are appearing on store shelves now, or buy them direct from the Gale Force Nine Online Store!
Battlefield in a Box is Gale Force Nine’s popular series of pre-painted terrain sets for miniature hobbies. Each piece is ready to use right of the box, bringing your tabletop battlefields to life! Durable, functional and beautiful, these pieces create fantastic settings for your adventures and battles. From the ruined cityscapes of the Gothic range to the dense forests and twisting rivers of the Essentials range to the iconic structures of the Fantasy range, there is always a new realm to fight in with Battlefield in a Box!

I love these things, but they are almost always sold out except for the crappy wizards towers etc at my FLGS. I would love to get some of these on my table, or those awesome gothic ruins they have which I can never find anywhere.
There needs to be more of this quality pre-made terrain. The market is there, where are the products!

Does GF 9 have a web store?
I would like a couple of sets of these sets.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

They do, you can find it here. If they don't have something in stock you may be able to send an email and ask when they'll be available, that worked for me when I was trying to get a hold of some of the green crystals. Took a couple of months but I have them and a set of the rocky outcrops.

They kind of look like giant turds.
But I have to say, I'm a big fan of the GF9 pre-painted terrain for Flames of War scenery.

You may need to see a doctor if yours look like this...
I consider these 'foundation terrain.' They're not show-pieces, but they're good, sturdy items that make a table more fun to play on and provide tactical value. I'm too lazy to build and paint stuff like this, so it saves more time for em to work on the more game-specific focus pieces that require painting and detailing like buildings, downed vehicles, and such.

You know what would really sell me on these? If they made a deal with say "Zuzzy (sp?) Mats to make a matching table cover. That way you could pull all of these peices and roll out the mat and have a matching table. I may order these though, would work well for both a 40k dessert mesa table and a Heavy Gear table.
