Dakka,

Here is my question. With TLOS being in the game, can the units on top of a Bastion shoot at units on the ground, and likewise ground units open fire on them? The Aegis Lines that circle the top of a Bastion are so tall to where most units can't really even see over them. When they are on the ground it's not too much of an issue, but in the air you almost can never see ground targets.

Are units ontop of the bastion only able to shoot at Flyers and really big vehicles (Monolith) or can you just shoot through the Aegis Lines ontop of the Bastion like they don't effect TLOS.

Everything (On the field of battle that is supposed to be there) needs to be taken into consideration for Line Of Sight.

So you are saying that being on top of a Bastion greatly limits what you can shoot at?

Yes. Same as being on the 4th floor of a ruin make it difficult to shoot.

I don't know, our group had never really brought it up before. We figured that you could just shoot at whatever with them as we have been using them since 5th....and in 5th there were really no flyers (which seems to be the main purpose of the roof, just to be able to shoot at Flyers). So basically allowing people to shoot through them made them useable in 5th and it just kinda flowed over into 6th. It makes sense though, get a 3+ and the ability to shoot at Flyers but you can't really Target most ground targets.

As far as the weapon, it should be mounted on the base that makes it higher. After having that piece in you should have no LOS issues.

Well I'm talking about just putting troops up there, and the troops small arms fire. The Quad-Gun does have much easier LoS you are correct.

You can target ground troops, you use true LOS, so like anywhere else in the game, if you can see the enemy, you can shoot the enemy.

And troops on the battlements of a bastion do not get a 3+ cover save, they get a 4+ cover save.
