The Infantry squads are meant to blob up behind the Defense Line and man the Quadgun. If they get shot at, they go to ground and then the CCS orders them to Get Back To The Fight! and they proceed firing again.

Terminator Armor is better then Runic Armor for the Rune Priest if your going to be on foot. I like the Chooser of the Slain to prevent infiltrating shenanigans like Shrike with Terminators.

Primaris Psyker for biomancy buffs is probably better then a CCS with auto cannon.

You want power axes sargs in your infantry squads.

Manticore as your only vehicle will just get killed unless there is somewhere to hide it out of line of sight.

I think you've forgotten your Platoon Command Squad, you need one for an infantry platoon. You can't blob it up, but the Junior Officer leading it is BS4 and thus a great choice to man the gun. If you can somehow afford it, you might want to camo-net the Manticore. It'll draw a ton of fire and a 3+ cover might just keep it alive.

Avariel: That list was designed by one of the NOVA officials and the guy that won the tourney designed the missions. Plus, Njal was also ruled to hit flyers when it's still not 100% clear as if he does (I think so because of Tempest of Storms being an ability rather than a shooting attack, but that discussion belongs in YMDC). Because of that, I don't consider that list as valid to consider.

PCS gunning the Quadgun is an interesting idea. What would the Infantry Squads be doing then?

I don't see the need with giving the Manticore a camo net when I had in mind sticking behind complete LOS blocking terrain and abusing its 10 foot range.

Thats pretty piss poor that they let the designers of the tourny play in it, "Sure I'll build the these missions to match this army I have right here, Thats awesome!!"

This is just bad and the kinds of things that shouldn't be allowed.

Holding objectives and getting in the enemy's way, maybe even shooting. If you dropped an infantry squad you'd be able to afford the PCS, which you're forced to buy, and autocannons for the two remaining squads.

That does beat camo. If you can do it reliably that's certainly the best protection, though it does hurt to lose the scatter reduction.
