I wouldn't table one/against one with T6 or 2 S8 AP2 attacks on the charge; I also wouldn't table it at I1. I feel that there's better fixes in the PR; look at giving it wolf-guard-esque rules for the 'most fun' route on-table (in my experience).

What would you propose?

Eh, I always thought biovores should be more akin to those AA plasma shooting bugs... or maybe there should be a plasvore...
Points, I suppose 50. I always thought they were overpriced before (should have been more like 30-35 points imo) but the buffs I gave them I think calls for a point increase.

hhhm well, I think the pyrovores real shtick is this: they are damn good at loosing close combat, suffering many wounds while doing so. (and more importantly dealing them with their acid blood)
Sadly, they get shot up far too easily. I wouldnt give them a toughness 6 (as their acid blood wouldnt trigger that often) Id instead give them more wounds.
Maybe give them feel no pain against, non template/blast, shooting attacks. It is, after all weapon mounted on a dumb creature, its not supposed to feel pain.
Also acid maw doesnt do alot when you are a monstrous creature.

What if you just made them an IC? Make all tyranid units immune to their acid blood, maybe weaken them up a bit, they become a flamethrower upgrade for squads that can blow up and wound characters who toss down a challenge. Grab up to three for an elite slot.

Like I said, perhaps wolf-guard-esque, perhaps even cyber-wolf-esque, where squads can take a couple pyrovores for flamesupport.

How about... This?
Pyrovore
WS3 BS3 S4 T5 W2 I1 A2 Ld6 Sv4+
Composition: 1-3 Pyrovores
Unit Type: Infantry
Weapons and Biomorphs:
Acid Maw
Acid Blood
Claws and Teeth
Flamespurt: Range:Template S5 AP4 Assault 1, Torrent (may fire weapon even when subject to instinctive behavior: feed)
Hardened Carapace
Special Rules:
Fearless
Banal monstrosity: Pyrovores are commonly seen lumbering into battle alongside it's fellow monstrosities shrugging off lethal shots, seemingly determined to annihilate some target that the Hive mind commanded it to. As such, at the start of each game, the player may choose to break up units of pyrovores and place them individually into any Troop Unit, pyrovores orginating from the same unit cannot be placed into the same Troop unit. To reflect their seemingly amazing durability, Pyrovores benefit from FNP against any weapon that is neither a flamer nor melta (as such weapons threaten to ignite the pyrovores volatile secretions).
Volatile: When a pyrovore is killed, it explodes into a fiery inferno consuming all those nearby. Upon the loss of a pyrovore's final wound, place a blast template centered upon where the pyrovore was. All units (friend or foe) under the blast template suffer a Strength 5 AP- hit

It still runs into the problem of "Is this really worth passing up a chance to put some more Venomthropes/Zoanthropes/Ymargls/Hive guards into my list?" There were two problems with the Pyrovore, first of all, it sucked, secondly, it competed with at least four much better units in the elites slot that all fulfill roles the Tyranids desperately need filled.
Perhaps one possible improvement for the Pyrovore would be letting it shoot it's template further out like Hellhounds can? This would help fix the fact that the Pyrovore is a painfully slow unit with a very short ranged weapon and has it's fair share of problems surviving long enough to even use it.
But otherwise, you bumped up it's usability *considerably*.
