In the UK, people are quite happy to deconstruct the Union Jack and use it in different ways.
The Olympic team uniform was a particularly interesting approach.
Interesting isn't quite the word I would use for the Olympic uniforms. I thought it was an abysmal choice. Then I saw that US swimmers don't even wear uniforms anymore, so at least its better than picking your own.
