Good afternoon Dakka, it's been a while. This is a 1k all Nob Wagon list; mostly for fun, but part of the fun is winning. I don't want to change anything major because I've run very competitive lists and done very well with them, this one is more directed at having a good time. However there are always improvements to be made and it would be nice if this could be a winning set-up.

King Zarruk (Warboss): 115
PW, CB, BP, AS

Warboss: 105
PK, CB, EA, BP

8 Nobz: 280
3 PK, Painboy, 3 BC

8 Nobz: 250
3 PK, 3 BC

Wagon: 125
Deff Rolla, BS, AP

Wagon: 125
Deff Rolla, BS, AP

General Strategy is blatant.

Any thoughts?

Is it me, or is this list illegal?

Thou shalt not refer to the Adeptus Soritas as "Bolter Biatches" nor shalt thou go anywhere near our sisters during the time of the "Red Rage," lest thou wishes to be the first human to enter orbit without the aid of a shuttle.

Nope its not, he has his 2 hq choices 2 troopses, and some wagons for everyone to live in.

Though I'm not sure how it will fair myself as I just don't know honestly.

No one in my area does 1k games or lower, so I'd just give it a shot.

His pair of warbosses allows him to take 2 units of nobz as Troops.

I think the army will fair well, at low points I find most don't bring AV14 killers so the wagons will do good and nobz are always beatsticks.

I would definitely try it a few times.

Another thing I was looking for some help with; is there a better way to arm the Nobz? I don't have the rule book in front of me so I went from memory on what works well, but if anyone has a better idea I'd like to hear it.

Honestly you don't need anything else just let the BC Orks go first in line so the PK nobz can get the whacks in. If its all guard, just run them over .

Isn't it a bit risky to place all of your points into just two death star units? Both of them are basically built to smash face, but if an opponent has way more units and models than you, might they not have a better chance at grabbing and holding objectives and such while your two units are occupied smashing stuff? I'm only just starting to build my Orks, but the advice I've read on the forums is to basically put more bodies on the table at this (and perhaps any) points level.

There's a discussion here about nob tactics. Big Choppas are nice, but apparently they're not really necessary. Power Klaws and regular choppas appear to be just fine. You might want to put a few kombi-skorchas on the nobs though for counter-charge purposes though.

I have limited experience with Orks, but nonetheless I have some points.
Arming the Nobz: I believe Painboyz and Cybork bodies are mandatory, otherwise they just die too quickly, especially considering the abundance of S8 blasts these days. Big choppas are OK if you have the points, but I'd buy the mandatory upgrades first.
Your list: Honestly, I believe you have very few models, and only 2 troops, even Marines will have more models than you, and if they have some mobile AT that can shoot you in the side or rear, you're going to run into trouble. In my experience, BW's are aren't as tough as many people believe them to be, especially since you must go up in the enemy's face, i.e. melta range. Considering all of this, going all-Nobz in a 1000 pts game is probably not a very good idea, I guess.

Is Kharn a Commissar that kills enemies or are Commissars Kharn wannabe's who don't have the balls to kill enemies?

Silly me. I didn't even notice that he lacked a painboy in his second squad. I just assumed he had it. lol.

That was my feeling as well. At most I might consider a MANz missile (3 meganobs w/kombi-skorchas and a trukk, 180 points total) in a 1000 point game.
