So I'm entering my first tournament in 8 years at my FLGS. 1500 pts, 3 games swiss style.

I do not have any drop pods (I have two on the way, but obviously won't be here in time), so when you suggest them, just know that I agree, I just don't have the models.

To help with recommendations, here's what else I have: landspeeder w/multi melta, dreadnaught (any weapon config), Predator w/ HB sponsons, 1 additional terminator w/ SB and PF, 2 lascannons, 1 plasma cannon, 1 GH with flamer

The RP will be combined with the terminator wolf guard. The lone power armor wolf guard will be with the Grey Hunter pack with only 9 GH>

I think your dreadnought really needs a drop pod. It'll never get close enough to your opponent otherwise - especially in a tournament. But in all honesty, you'll get more use out of another Long fang unit than you will from your dreadnought.

Your wolf guard unit looks tough, but I think you've over spent points for it. But if you want to keep them this way, I would drop 1 power fist (10 points) and the meltabombs (5 points) to get 3 more combi-weapons. Combi-plasmas will make this unit a serious threat at range as well as close combat.

But at the very least, you should drop the meltabomb. Consider that the meltabombs are mostly pointless when a chainfist does the same thing with TWO attacks instead of just one. Plus you can use a chainfist against anything - not just vehicles and monsters like a meltabomb. So you would get more bang for your points by dropping the melta bomb and using the 5 points to upgrade one powerfist to a chainfist.

Your troops look good, but I would take Mark of the Wulfen instead of power weapons. MotW is better than a PW, especially when combined with the wolf standard.

Your rune priest should take runic armor instead of terminator armor. With terminator armor, he can't fit into a Rhino (in case you attach him to the GH squad).

As mentioned, I don't have the drop pods for this tournament, but I will for the next. I'm not going to win, I'm going to have fun.

Don't have combi-weapons other then the one, but I will start looking in to conversion ideas and bits.

I dropped all the power weapons, so all the GH squads now have mark of the wulfen as mentioned.

The RP will be with the terminators which is why he's in terminator armor (need to make a RP in power armor).

So with this list, I went 2-2 at my tournament today. Lost to a three flyer list and if it weren't for two contesting killer kans, I would have gone 3-1.

Will be posting battle reports as I get them done. Dread lived through only one game, but got a few kills in each game.

In all 4 games today, I rolled a 1 for EVERY MotW roll ... Seriously ... All of them.

Did you never activate your Wolf Standards? You could have rerolled the 1 if you had.

Man, where were you yesterday when I could have used that reminder?

Every time I remembered the standards, I was already in combat rolling dice.

Sorry to hear that :/ sucks when you forget something you upgraded thinking it'd be amazing.
