Howdy folks, just wondering for all you Dust Tactics/Warfare players: have you ever received some models that were waaay out of shape, like beyond the "hot water/air" reset fix? I understand some parts like gun barrels were cast in that soft plastic, but it's aggravating that my Angela model is armed with a giant piece of elbow macaroni than a sniper rifle. Would this be grounds to contact FFG and request a replacement piece - the problem is it's complete and intact so I don't think it falls under the "defective" category. Do any of you have any tips for extreme plastic fixes?

I cleaned and glued a Recon Boy squad last night , and the only way one chaps forearm would look like that was if he ran around with his M1 , whilst his radius and ulna were shattered in 2 places . Like a boss . Looks like it was a Friday job at the assembly plant , and quite frankly I couldn't be bothered enough to fix it .

Not seen anything else in my collection though . Which model/s of yours are bent out of shape ?

As for getting FFG to replace it , have no idea . Never dealt with them .

FFG is very good about replacing parts but they are very slow to respond

Well, my Angela's rifle is just short of ruined. I have a super wonky antenna on both an Allied and an Axis Radio man, and 2 of my Axis SturmGrenadiers have really tweaked out Assault Rifles. Oddly, it's not the barrel that's bent, but the main frame of the rifle in between the span of their arms (may have to post pics). Oh an a poor Allied Recon boy has a warped rifle as well. Don't get me wrong, the Dust line overall is stellar, it's just that these were the few duds I came across (and couldn't be fixed by the hot/cold method). I just wished some of the models were cast with harder plastic....

Yea, harder plastic is nice, but it also costs a lot more. These are not "models" - they are game pieces. I like the affordability, even if it means dealing with small issues like this. They do replace any damaged models, as long as you e-mail them. I did it and they were quick to replace the models. Also, for antennae, use Brass Rod. Nothing else will work well for them without breaking and/or bending.

Also built my Crack Shots and 13 Foxtrot teams last night , strangely enough . Took one look at the antenna , gently bent them over and down the one side of the radio and super glued the suckers down . After all , 2 guesses who the other blokes are gonna shoot after they nail the guy everyone is saluting ...
