Hi this is a quick picture of my last mini i painted, hope you like

Very good! Nice and clean with an appropriate amount of detail. Well done. Maybe paint his belt buckle silver or something

Nice job! A few points I'd like to make:

Kudos:
- The stubble effect on the head is fantastic.
- The colors are all very smooth.
- The face is top-notch.

Criticism:
- I'm not a big fan of the purple. I feel like it's an extraneous color to add to the model, and I feel like putting red in its place would tie in better, but that might just be personal preference.
- I feel like the orange highlights on the Chainsword are a bit too stark. Especially when you compare them to the Plasma Pistol. I would tone them down a bit.
- I would personally like to see a little writing on the scroll on his right shoulder pad. Even if it's just some scribble with a paint pen that looks like writing.


Overall, I like him!

Following on from what Darth Bob has said.

If you want to keep the purple, paint the sword on the upper part of his robes purple, and it should balance the model heaps better, your attention won't be drawn to those spot colours so easily.

Yeah, it's not a scroll, it's a squad icon.

Ah, my mistake. Never painted many Loyalist Marines. "Death to the false Emperor" and all that.

Dark Angels are one of those chapters that favour an arrow pointing in two directions for their tactical squad symbol. Chapters like the Ultramarines favour a single arrow pointing up.

I only noticed this when the DV minis came out. Which other chapters do this? I always assumed the upward arrow was some universal codex thing.

All the DA successors and the Iron Lords do this.
