Just wanted to know if any one had any information on Forgefiend/Maulerfiend being monstrous creatures/ walkers, or if games workshop hasn't released that information what everyone's opinion is.

As a personal opinion I hope they are monstrous creatures as chaos already has hell brutes and defilers as walkers.

Well, I can't answer this question. But additionally, I'd like to know if the Fiend is HS. If the Hellbrute and Helldrake would be HS too, this would be a kind of waste.

That's really bad, all these shiny new models/units being heavy. This will limit their use.

if havocks are the only one with skyfire then chaos players are going to use only them . everything else is too fragile/high cost imo . 200pts for a shoty dread aint so cool , when hull points are there . Maybe nurgle mark will buff it will not die to +4 or something , because right now it looks as if one would be buying a dakka defiler

Looks like chaos will best be played above 2000 points. Dual force org mandatory!

A Lord with appropriate mark can take them as Troops.

I'm bummed that the Fiends are Heavy Support, since my Iron Warriors are already loaded up on Vindicators for fluffy reasons. Guess I'll have to swap one or two out unless the Warpsmith can do something interesting with the FoC.

I wonder how many returns will people have with the warpsmith . slim tentacle like parts and finecast can be a problem , even good ones will snap like nothing chaos ever had.

The model will probably look nicer with a few of those snipped off.

Even with 2 FOC? That's a lot of vindicators.

The Lord was a liability in the 5th ed and I guess he will one in the new ed. Too bad.
Bringing back Iron Warriors via the Warpsmith is something I'm really looking forward, say by moving Obliterators to Elite as it has been in the 3.5 ed codex.

The Helbrute is (still) elite. It replaced the dreadnought.

At least this is good news. All other new shiny monsters seem to be HS. How many do you need when you run a bunch of Obliterators (or some Vindicators)?
