I wonder, how the Imperium would cope, who'd intervene, how it'd go down, y'know.

The Eldar would probabbly halp against chaos, and the necrons might help against nidz, the orks would come trash everything, everyone else would be unnplussed

That's whats happening to Baal at the very end of the setting

Kha'Banda is on the warpath against his favourite opponent and a Nid splinter is also heading in the same direction

It's what's happening in the setting as a whole. While the 13th Black Crusade was going on, Leviathan was hitting from below the galactic plane, Behemoth and Kraken remnants and other new hive fleets attacking from different areas.

It's a galaxy wide gak fight, not just the Imperium fighting off one enemy at a time as they patiently wait in line for their turn at attacking.

Just had a horrible thought, Nids stealthed accross the galaxy, not attacking, just positioning...then made a collective attempt at nomming everyone e.e

Tyranid's shadow of the warp would interfere with warp entities.

That's utter speculation.
In fact I'm sure a story or fluff snippet exists of tyranids and daemons attacking each other. Only for the Grey knights to glass the place. Can't think of where it is or even if my sleep deprived brain is making it up.

Iv not seen anything suggesting the shadow does anything more than a latent psychic hinderence, a fear or terror in non psychics, and absolute brain meltdowns in psychers and astropaths.

I feel this would be the kind of event that would tip the Imperium properly, causing a doubled, nay tripled amount of anarchy trying to beat back the nids as chaos poured out the Eye of terror, this all sounds like it'd make a fantastic campaign, I feel.

You might be thinking of the White Dwarf that showcased how to make "demonic" versions of each of the races. Including a tyranid daemonhost.

What if the Tyranids could mask their presence in the warp and up to now the Hive Mind has purposely allowed the Tyranid attacks to be predictable in order to surprise the inhabitants of the galaxy when they suddenly appear out of nowhere!

I personally think the main survivors would be Eldars, Dark Eldars (webway) the imperium(Though Devastated) orks(because the bastards never die), the Tau however, dead Necrons, feth knows, and...yeah...
