So I ran into 2 very odd situations where bosspole is starting to make less and less sense sinch 6th edition has come out.
For example now that Big Gunz count as woundable targets when i need to throw a wound on something and my big mek with Shokk attack gun is joined to a unit of big gunz and a bosspole he ce can instead smack a gun with more than likely no downsides compared to a grot.
Same goes for a mega-armored Warboss joined to a unit of nobz with a Bosspole. Long as the boss isn't using the pole the nobz can throw it on HIM and he takes a 2+ armor save to negate it.
These examples make almost no sense why would a nob smack a boss around....
Why would a smacking a kannon matter at all to regroup?
thoughts?

Why do space elves and sentient fungi fight each other and thousand year old robots who can control darkness?
Don't try to rationalize 40k. It won't work.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

No contradictions. It all works.
If the Boss doesn't have the bosspole, clearly he ain't da boss.

Ok imagine your'e a grot something scary happens and you and you'r fellow runts start getting real nervous and begin to pannic, then the mek turns around smacks one of the "sturdy" weapons nearby, nearly breaking it in half, and shouts "You lot stay put or uz next!!!" What do you do? Now imagine you're a nob you'r boyz and your boss are all together in a grand 'ol scruff but your foes (the cheaters) manage to win somehow, then the boss shouts out in a panic "Weez all gunna die!!!", you then reach out and slap him yelling "Get it togetha boss orks iz meant for winnin!!!".

2nd example is wrong. He shoots boss for being a coward and takes over, telling everyone if they run, they are next !

See the Nob with da pole, has a special relationship with da boss man...er ork. His whole purpose (beside krumpin stuff) is to remind da boss of da big plan. Unfortunately, this means a whack to back of da boss's head.

You are just looking at it in the wrong light. If a Nob smacks a Boss, maybe he thinks he should be the boss instead. And a Mek punching a kannon actually makes sense. ITs more along the lines of "Ya werffless pile o boltz!" Whack.

It all makes sense to an Ork - all at the same time - even the bits that appear (or in fact are) contradictory. Its part of their Kwantum SyKology.
