The Word Bearers are broken up into Chapters. 4 are known, leaving 6 for us fans to create. Mine is called The Chapter of the Shattered Star. The first model I've painted for this is a possessed, since it has all the primary visual elements I need to figure out for the collection... demon flesh, powered armor, and spikey clawy bits.
This army will be a massive collection, intended for large Apocalypse games.

I like the look of the marine. I think a little more contrast between the flesh and the armor would be nice though.
How many points are you looking at for this apoc army? 5k, 10k, 20k?

I may ramp up the contrast, yeah. Confession: This model got frosted by the varnish... I fixed it, but its still a bit hazier than other models will be.
Eventually 20k.

Dude, use an airbrush for varnishing! Saved me no end of worry and stress. Galeria Satin and Matt by Windsor & Newton thin nicely and spray well (use a little flow improver).
And it's nice to work on something that isn't a commission, ain't it?

Its always good to remember why we started painting in the first place, yeah, lol.
