alright, decided go on a pokemon binge since black and white 2 is coming out near my b-day and I want to trade my SoulSilver feraligatr to black version and then to black 2, so I need to defeat it.
Just beat the victory road and got roflstomped by the ghost trainer, any tips to defeat them?

My pokemon team is:
Samurott-lvl48
Krookodile-lvl47
Luxaray-lvl47
Unfezent-lvl46
Hound doom-lvl47

Maybe get everything up to level 50 first. Go after the ghost first and by the looks of your team you probably want to tackle the psychic last as it should be really easy.

okay. In terms of supplies, what should i get? I really don't want to break my wallet, but I dont want to be gibbed by everyone.

Also, would the fighting gym be a huge problem for me?

Breaking your wallet is actually the best strategy against the Elite Four.

Since you lose a chunk of your money for every loss, having little money in your wallet actually works in your advantage if your money is tied up in potions, elixirs, revives, etc.. And if you beat several of the elite four members and then lose to like the third or fourth, then don't worry, that was money you hadn't budgeted for anyways.

Also the Ghost Elite Four actually has subtypes with his ghost pokemon I believe, take advantage on those.

Def get everything to at least 50.

ghost: Watch out for Jellicent. Everything else you can prolly handle

Dark: Shouldn't have too much trouble.

Fighting: Your unfezant will get a work out here. Since this is the one that you have only one Pokemon with SE typing against, I would start here

Pyschic: Reuniclus is a bulky little PITA, but you got enough dark pokemon that you should cruise through here.

You can't, sorry but my point still stands. Spend your money, the less you have to lose, then the less you have to worry about.

Also, I didn't see this, but I'm assuming you're taking them on after you beat N, so it's "official"?

Full restore is generally the best thing to go with. I just stock up on them and revives; don't really need anything else.

Attack with with your Oxygon and turn him into water.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I used snivy instead of Oshawott, so he wasn't that bad for me. >.>

I would try teaching Samurott Dragon tail and X-scissor as well if possible, you should have TM82 from Drayden, that way you have at least 2 SE moves.

I've got 4 days to wait still, dagnabbit! I'll be making use of Genesect though, he seems fun.

oh, new question: How hard would it be to EV train a totodile?

Pretty easy. EVs transfer any time a Pokemon gets experience( until they hit 510 Evs) Give the Totodile an EXP Share until he is strong enough to fend for himself. From there you could give him a Lucky Egg for more EXP, a Macho Brace/Other EV increasing item for more EVs or an Evolite so he has better defenses.

Easier in B/W due to the EV system changing I think. You get the change when you get the EV instead of on level. For Totodile you probably want attack so you want to go to route 1 (or whatever its called just outside the first town). But, first I'd say buy the drugs for the stats you want (at most you can use 10 of each providing 100 EV total in that stat). Use them first then add the EV enhancing items, which you can use to either speed up a single stat or raise two at once instead. You also don't want to reach the cap for each stat as you have wasted points, if I remember correctly you're after 252/252/4 in most cases as every four EV equates to a single stat point. Be sure to get the right nature first of course as it makes a significant difference.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh also he just needs EXP, so you can send it out first and switch to a completed Pokemon to get the EV faster with the enhancers. Be sure to keep track as well.

not complicated at all, right? x3x

so, new question: how many ev points does it take to fill up a stat, and does leveling make that kaput?

"Yes, and I'm tired of thinking otherwise."

252 to fill a stat and no leveling doesn't effect it.
