I decided to make a scavvy gang for our upcoming Necromunda Campaign. I have used non GW models, mostly consisting of Pig Iron. I have used Hans the hunter an incursion model and Foulques the Black a Hell Dorado model for my scalies. No plague zombies painted up as yet but they will be added in the near future.

The Dust Fall Cannibals

Gang leader and Scalies

From left to right: Skorn - Mogram - The Gatherer
The Gatherer was converted from Foulques the Black, I used an Ork right arm and cutom built his spear gun from shoota bits. Added a nid bit to his shoulder replaced his head with a pig iron spare to tie in with the rest of the gang.

Shooters

Rikka - Hwark - Milane - Skinface

The eye stalks were made using filament wire from the inside of a lightbulb with green stuff painstakingly moulded around it (was uber sticky and very fiddly anyone know any tricks to make green stuff less sticky?). The tentacle was also created using greenstuff.

Close Combat

Tarp - Kray - Stang - Garr the Wanderer -Laykon

Kray's third arm was a simple conversion adding a guardsman arm and smoothing the join with green stuff.

Hope you guys like em, first models i have painted in 12 years since i joined the army i decided it was time to get back into it

These are really great. I wouldn't have figured it had been 12 years since the last time you painted.

Excellent paint job and conversion work. You nailed the theme.

"All right, sweethearts, what are you waiting for? Breakfast in bed? Another glorious day in the Corps! A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm. Every meal's a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I LOVE the Corps!" ---Sgt. Apone

"I say we take off, and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure."-----Ripley

I love the ammount of baggage and bits on them. Truely scavengers.

For greenstuff, wetting your fingers and tools with water (or spit by licking your fingers) will make it much more manageable and less sticky.

Great use of parts and really characterful! Superb paintjob to top it off! Good luck in the campaign!

p.s. A little cooking oil is also useful to de-sticky greenstuff!

Need more 's in my life!

I looked at using Pig IRon for the exact same thing not long ago, and my belief is now confirmed that I should do it, those are AWESOME!

I do love those pig iron models, however the only thing i really didn't like was the fact they come with skateboards (for want of a better word ) attached to their feet they are not slota base models which meant i had to build up the floor to the level of their feet.

A band of dangerous mutants and heretics that should be purged with fire immediately.

Absolutely love them! You put in so many cool details, and each has such character, and all look nasty.
