Nids are cool. They got extra cool by being screwed not getting any allies in 6th. If you play Nids, you clearly WANT to play 'Nids. OTOH, the crazy psyker spam they can now do in 6th is a little less cool. But even there, it's neat to see Bugs have something scary again. So that's kind of cool.

I like the larger models mostly. Not much of a fan of the various 'gaunts.

I actually love all the models...mind you when I first started collecting them they were god-awful ugly metal abominations...and not ugly in a 'giger-esque, alien, starship troopers, creepy' sort of way...but Fugly...in a 'fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down' ugly (we're talking gargantuan sequoia red-wood sized tree). Sorry Jes, I love your work, but your Tyranids in 2nd edition were found wanting. The bugs they have nowadays are a thing of beauty in caparison.

I actually love the idea of swarms of lethal chittering bugs interspersed with giant terrifying alien creatures. The new big bugs are pretty impressive IMHO. Even the plastic Tyranid warriors look the $#!t to me...too bad they are utterly worthless on the table....

Space Wolves are probably the red headed children that everyone hates ATM.. and you're only upset that Nids exist because some Nid player probably has tabled you a few times while you're running Space Wolves and you can't figure out why lol

To the OP,what do you mean by hating Nids?
-they are overpowered? (this is "SW hate")
-their fluff sucks? ("GK hate")
-they never got a good update? (SoB hate)
-OHGODIMSCAREDOFBUGS! (unreasonable hate)
-models suck (formerly DE hate)

Of the various reasons armies are hated, nids don't seem to have one. Nids have a very unique army with great models, a non overpowered codex that can still be lethal in the right hands (unlike the boringly uncreative Space Wolf lists nowadays...), very little obnoxiously good fluff, no "uber Daigo type" special character, and are my army, therefore freaking cool

Do you just lose to Nids a lot or something?

I feel exactly the same. i hate the gribbly lil sneaky bitey bastards alot. And broodlords are just insanely tough. I used to kanwall tyranid armies but now with the kff being worse and hull points i find it alot harder to do

You mean Nids are bad because they are not green monkeys that spoil the otherwise incredible mood of the universe with cheesy siliness that isn't even funny, have stupid proportions even for 40k, don't fit to any other army and are complete ripoff from single picture in Nemesis the Warlock? Not a best reason to bash Nids tbh.

Yep, that's 40k. If you don't like it, you can try Infinity. It's all hard sci-fi and highbrow military stuff until you find out about the gun-toting lolis and the furry commandos.

Sci-fi wargaming... deal with it.

I have almost 1000 points of Orks and just have started building an Ork panzer division. That was troll the troll attempt.
