basically the tactic with this army is chuck each HQ with a squad of berzerkers in a land raider, the Helbrutes perform as fire magnets / distractions while the bikers fly up and pop tanks then the raiders drop their heavy hitting CC troops to kill and capture objectives in the name of khorne! what do you guys think? any suggestions? my main three opponents run 1. a necron flier list (spanker) 2. an ork Defwing (all meganobs in wagons) and 3. a blood angels dreadnought in drop pods list.

i have accepted the fact that a fluffy khorne list will NEVER defeat a list that contains 10 fliers... it cannot be done.... so im more focussed on the other 2 opponents

Yep,
It's a nice punchy army but not enough troops.
I think the landraiders are slightly wasted due to missing out on shots if you are steaming over the board; but they are intimidating so I suppose it depends on the opponent. If you keep them in why not make the most of the units they transport and add a few models.
The hellbrutes seam out of place; maybe loose one for a small additional troop unit.
Bikes are good.
No anti-aircraft for when the IG roll up with losts of vendettas or eldar with lances and knock out the landraiders early on.
Maybe tool the havocs up for that and find the extra points from the bike fit out.
What I really like are the havocs in the rhino. Going off topic I'm thinking (for my list - still waiting for the codex to be delivered) is 2000pt double list with two units of havocs in rhino with assault/plasma kit out. Then using Huron to try and infiltrate two units of them.

I'm a real fluff based gamer.... I won't take a unit unless it screams KHORNE! at me... I have two wicked converted Helbrutes with juggernaut faces so I want them to stay.... i agree that it is lacking troops tho... maybe i could drop 1 helbrute and get 2 squads of 2 cultists.. just to hold objectives....

You could take your Lord on a jugger so that he can ride with the bikes, he can still be sniped thou but will pack more punch and you could save those points on one LR and invest it on another troop

I would consider dropping the size of your bike units to maybe 5-6, maybe drop the meltas from one bike unit, and add the Lord on a jugger to that unit. With those points I'd try and get more zerkers. To "distract" a little better, what if you give the helbrutes some type of ranged shooting as they advance? Then they're doing something besides just advancing and getting shot up.

A Khorne Lord that is that killy could use a mount. How about a Juggernaught.
Stick him with the bikes until he's ready to go chew stuff apart! He can easily clean through almost any unit by himself.
He does get very pricey, but you could drop the sigil. It does make him more vulnerable, but his defense instead will be high toughness and killing everyone that can fight back.
Honestly the hellbrutes really don't match the rest of your list and they will be slow as heck. Another glaring issue is that you have absolutely nothing that can deal with flyers. I'd try to ally in some IG or pick up two squads of Havoks with Flak missiles. Landraiders are also stupid expensive in terms of points. I know you probably want them to transport your berserkers for the Assault Vehicles rule....but I think just getting more 'zerkers and rhinos with dirge-casters would be a better plan.
As was said above, bikes could probably be shrunk down to 6-7 per squad. Icon of Wrath really isn't needed either. You already have 28 S4 and 4 S8 AP2 attacks on the charge....do you really need S5 as well? Hell Veterans of the Long War would probably be just as useful (not in all cases of course) for much cheaper.
You replaced the combi-bolters with meltaguns and not the CCW, right?
Looks like a great start but could use more bodies and more 'oomph' against flyers. Havoks help with the latter and can provide you with ranged support as well. Even followers of Khorne use ranged-support to crack open transports and heavy vehicles so they don't have to waste time doing that in CC.

I like the landraiders, against necron fliers and even vendettas they are one of the better options as they will draw alot of firepower off the rest of his army and survive pretty well against lascannon fire while the nightscythes won't even scratch that armour. The 4++ on the lord is important as he said he is vsing meganobz and dreadnoughts.. I do agree with the last comment about dropping the raiders for more bezerkers in rhinos though or even marines with meltaguns and mok to make them bezerkers with meltas Automatically Appended Next Post: Also 3 squads of 5 bikes with meltas would probably be better than 2 squads of 8 for sure

I might want a scoring unit or two more!
Also don't forget that shooting people is a reasonable khornate tactic. They don't particularly mind that jazz and I'm sure they see the use in it. I mean, not even their demon princes can crack the hardest of 40k nuts anymore sadly.
I remember hearing things about the world eaters having a reasonable amount of tactical and long ranged units. Seek balance where you can find it I say! Plenty of skulls to go around!

I love a good bloodthristy Khorne list, and its what I usually run. But if I had to critique it:
HQ - Not a huge problem with any of these choices, both great units, and lets face it, Kharn kicks ass
Troops - Packed in a LR with the HQs should be able to do some serious damage albeit at a high points cost. If you knew you were going up against an AP4 army it might be worth it to add the chain axes. I find with Zerkers you get the first unit they go after slaughtered, by the second unit they are almost down to nothing, and sometimes make a dent in the third. They arent intended to be survivable, which kind of puts your CL at the very least in harms way. So if you were careful with the land raider, walled off against LOS, then maybe, just maybe, but games dont always work out that way. Also the combi-meltas although nice to have around arent very neccesary on account of the 6 meltas with the bikes, there is a good chance they will pop the tanks before your zerkers ever have a chance.
FA - Bikes, love em, no complaints, good use of points. Pop a transport, then assault the survivors with an nasty amount of attacks on the charge. Have you considered instead of throwing the CL with the Zerkers, throwing him on a bike? Little more survivability, and he can get into the fight faster.
HS - I have an Issue with the Havocs, you have 4 meltas where you already have 6 on the bikes, plus the combi meltas on the zerkers. Unless I went up against a fully mechanized army this seems overkill. You could probably put them to better use with longer ranged weapons, and missile launchers for pesky flyers. They are meant as long range support, and in this roll a Rhino is not really required.
Allied - Why not? but you could use those points for some obliterators, achieve a more varied HS, and if you are so inclined DS them in to screw up a flank. Lets face it those LR are going to be huge bullet magnets, and you could take advantage of that!
My two cents. Automatically Appended Next Post: addon - Maybe even a small unit of Cultists to take a back objective and sit on it for cheap points?

I'd stick with your awesome Dreads and give them Reaper Autocannons! That will give you a smidgen of dakka and keep your cool figs!
Aside from that, remember that sometimes your Land Raiders full of dudes can be perfectly content to sit back and shoot their boom sticks, and BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.
