Ha!

But at least the tlantean and Eirann won't be until KS3, later on this year!

I hope the Jutes, and their Undead, make it in there too!

I've barely had time to save up for everything I wanted from KS 2.

I've decided to re-purpose my Redbox Helsvakt as Fomor to free up some funds for more Norse, Angelcynn....and possible recklessly getting some Brython infantry.
May have to get some Oghurthine down the road as well.
Eirann are going to ruin me.

I'm hoping that the Atlanteans are all just obese neck beards weeping over their fire-damaged snake pornography. That's probably the only artistic direction that will keep me safe from buying them.

I dunno, that fire-damaged snake porn sounds tempting...
Wait is it the snakes that are fire damaged...?

Two new concepts!

And more important news - there WILL be GIANT TURTLES for the Kthones Kindred!

I think/hope!

Also - New "Starter Hosts" are being discussed.

A sample of one is here:

The ogre-centaur and the felljötunn on page 110 are pretty darn cool. I really will have to get hold of them eventually.

As far to the east you can get without being in Canada.

Myself and another Dakka member are looking for a third party to share the "all the units" pledge.

The available units are Y's and Norse. If you want to pick up those units at a great price PM me to iron out the details. Thanks.

Rob just confirmed that the rules will remain free in PDF format, with the hard copy being for convenience and containing the fluff. Makes the game a much easier sell IMO.

Good to know about the pdfs. I'm in for £10 currently, I'll up to gold post kickstarter.

Don't think you can go up to gold post kickstarter. What you pledge dictates the 'category' they open for you post-KS. Bronze opens 10% off, which isn't really a bargain compared to their normal prices + free shipping over 50.

If you pledge gold now, you get all the gold offers (gold prices on this KS, KS2 prices for KS2 items, and 20% off older items).

Beyond getting at the gold category, the advantage to pledging more now is the extra 10 gbp for every 100 you spend.

But the important step is to be gold before the end of the campaign.

----------

One more stretch was opened to add some momentum:

That's a really good price - basically the same as normal Magagg cost in KS1, and there's been significant price increases since then.

I'm definitely interested in that Angelcynn starter deal if they do it.

I'm pretty sure it is in - and it is a nice deal!

I'd get it myself if I wasn't already getting Eoric's pack in a different deal!

I'd PM Rob to confirm that before dropping.

So the Albainn, the Ysians/ Vras, and the Fomorians have all gotten resculpts of existing figures.

Does that mean there's a chance every faction could possibly get a big item updated? That'd be kind of neat if they did.

Update #37
Apr 17 2014
£107,500 - Flesh-Scavengers

Here's something to get your teeth into on a slow morning: the Flesh-Scavengers stretch goal, set for £107,500, which gives you a Flesh-Drune, three Nithings and a Flesh-Pile, the better to construct new warriors from the dead with!

As you can see, you can purchase the Flesh-Scavengers in three ways - as a simple unit containing five miniatures; individual Nithings if you've already got Gondard and Ekk from the previous project; and individual Flesh-Piles if you want more than one!

Let's explain what the Flesh-Scavengers can do. The Flesh-Drune, being a master flesh worker, can construct new Brutes from bits and pieces of dead warriors on the battlefield (he will be able to construct other types of warriors at some point in the future). These dead body parts are piled into a big pile of flesh called, well, a Flesh-Pile, by the Flesh-Drune's menials the Nithings. Nithings are themselves constructs, made by the Flesh-Drune to serve him, and they scour the battlefield (especially where death is to be found near at hand, such as hand-to-hand combat) for those dead body parts and bring them back to the Flesh-Pile.

The more Nithings the Flesh-Drune uses (he can have up to three), the more Flesh is found and the bigger the Flesh-Piles get; and the bigger the Flesh-Piles get, the more Brutes the Flesh-Drune can construct...

Watch out for the next stretch goal at £100,000!

I like the Welsh one a lot, and the newly revealed Formor warriors host. Sadly I am dropping out. I don't think I can pledge for gold spot rewards until three days after the kickstarter ends, so sticking with a token pledge is pointless.

Probably the right call then as:

Kevin Johnston 9 minutes ago

Is it possible to upgrade a pledge to the gold spot post kickstarter by adding the required funds?

Creator Mierce Miniatures 7 minutes ago

@Kevin - no, I'm afraid not. If you've gone bronze reward, you won't see the gold rewards.

Yeah, shame. I heard they used to let people pledge if they missed a kickstarter but I think those days are gone.

They did, it's how I got access to KS1 (but I've been a backer for them all since)

I think they've learned that they need to encourage people to pledge, and pledge meaningful amounts, during the KS though, as more backers and cash means more unlocks and stretch goals, means a greater chance of more people backing and pledging.

Shame you're having to drop gold, I might have to too, but I can wait until the final day before making the call (only got paid half of what I was supposed to, 50/50 I'll see the rest before the KS ends) but surely a Bronze pledge is worth it, just to get the extra % discount if there's stuff you were buying anyway?
