I've always liked the Angelcynn and the Khthones. Is there any word on getting the Khthones into a metal starter?

Also the undead Wights from a previous JS are Angelcynn are they not?

At a guess, I'd say Jutes will probably be next followed by the Khthones Savrar starter which will be brand new sculpts and these are the fellas:

The Wights are from the Jutes which are supposed to follow some time today, as well, along with the Atalantes. No Kthones yet, as far as I can see...

I've already got two bands nof 500-750 points of Ysians and Trolls (at least I will have when I'm getting my stuff from Mierce). Still, I got roped into backing for the Brythoniaid starter - I like those Dyndreigiau too much to not pick them up.

So I'll probably differentiate them into Infantry&Big Monsters (Ys), pure Monstrous Infantry (Norse Trolls) and Mixed Human and Monstrous Infantry (Brythoniaid). Well, unless I pick up one of those dragons, at which point my clever system will fall apart.

Hmm those Savrar look really nice! But so do the Atlantes'. If the Savrar get in I may get them and the Atlantes as they are gorgeous. Plus from the little background I've read the Khthones don't like the Atlantes so much. But then I love the Angelcynn as well. And if the Jutes Wights get in then I don't know what to do lol!

The khthones are a big one. Their cheapest unit is double most other kindreds. They need some lower level stuff (damn, I'm talking myself into buying more minis!)

Those Malign of Alum Tomb that are on 50mm bases, are they monstrous creature size?

They are large infantry like the sronax, tarvax, dyndraig etc. IIRC.

I seem to recall they were more of Angelcynn wolfies sized (50mm based, somewhat more lithe) than Sronax/Dyndraig sized. still decidedly monstrous though.

From what I understand, an Atalantes force can have Kthones units effectively as slaves, but you cant have Atalantes units in a Kthones lead force. Kthones are probably at 30k, due to the fact that they would be almost entirely new unit/sculpts, and they would probably need to pay for both resin and metal molds.

50mm base, about 50 - 60mm to the eye per the art direction.

Hopefully they do a follow up Metal Age late this year or early next. There's a lot that could stand to be converted. I think the Warriors of Baalor would be good sellers, particularly since Age of Sigmar came out.

I was secretly thinking that my money was safe, because as much as I wish great things for Mierce, I was only really likely to back a full host if the Savrar got unlocked, and I didn't think they would...

Jutes...why did have to be Jutes...

I'd not even considered them, now I really want them!

My friend was joking about pledging for every starter unit. But then I think he convinced himself. I'm wondering if Mierce will make a "one of each" pledge level?

80mm base, dat's a big puddy cat.

I'm glad I found my receipt book today to put in a claim at work. I was going to buy a shed for my motorbike with the money, now it seems I'm buying a mountain of resin.

Stretch goals are being knocked over nicely. If the pledges keep coming we may see the Savrar!

Aye, that's the problem. Too many nice things and not enough money!

For those wondering why the wolfy Angelcynn get a bear remember, like other Kindreds, the Angelcynn are divided into realms:

Mierce: The main realm and are all Wer-wolf shape-changers
Eofora: East Angles - will be Wer-boars
Beornice: Northumbera outcasts - Wer-bears
Dēra: Yorkshire - Wer-deers

There were a few other realms mentioned but no idea of the what shape changers they will be?

Yeah reminds me of my first conversions as a pre-teen. Why have just an axe when you can have a swordgunaxe? Aside from that looks good.

As much as I love the Jutes, the fact that there hasn't even been a start on those sculpts will keep me from pledging for metal versions.

So much for this being a not-normal kickstarter. I'm getting close to my normal levels of kickstarter funding. That bear's pushed me even closer. I hope Rob starts showing off some stretch goals for kindreds I don't own - then my wallet can relax a little. (if we hit the savrar, I'm buggered!)

Wow this kickstarter is going wildly out of control, there's just so much good stuff at such a decent price in metal its going to be really hard choosing what to go for, or saving for all of the starters I don't have!!! Two waves makes it bit more affordable for me so I can spread the cost.

Not sure how this is going to effect wave 8, will people go for resin Albainn, Jutes and Atlantes or wait for wave 10 in metal.

If I hadn't already locked in I definitely would have gone for metal for ALL human sized infantry figures!

So is everyone filling out existing kindreds or jumping in to new ones with the metals?

I always wanted to have more infantry but could never really justify buying more than one unit of each.
As of right now I'm not techinically starting anything new...

Yup, kind of regretting my (mostly unassembled, even!) Resin 10 gabrax unit now. Oh well, gotta remember they're still awesome minis even if somewhat more expensive and fragile than could have been

I look at it this way: We are part of a community that's helping to grow a game with immense complexity and a vision for a world that's quite possibly going to be more intricate and deep than anything the likes of GW could hope to create.

As things grow and evolve, we, as consumers, are likely going to revise or revisit our buying decisions, and Mierce are likely to make discoveries, mistakes or have changes of heart which means that with the benefit of hindsight we may feel we didn't make the right choices.

But as long as you're buying stuff that speaks to you, you can never really regret owning them

£23,750 - Conjunct X, Vivicoct
0 Comments

More monsters and gribblies! Graagh! This time it's the Ysians that get a new monster... and it's the awesome Conjunct X! He's a Vivicoct, a vivisected concoction performed by the insane flesh-drunes of Ker-Ys to further their empires and ensure the Ysians are victorious on the battlefield...

Conjunct X (Conjunct ten) has been mashed together from the various different components of our other miniatures. He's got the body and right leg of Glaun, the head of Kaairioc-cró, the left hoof of Galagaak, the left arm of Vörtun, the right arm of Blood-Maw and the tail of Kadámastar!

Conjunct X stands on a 120mm base and will be around 100mm tall to the top of his head, so he's a big lad! Conjunct X will only be produced in resin - he is too big to be produced in metal.

Increase your pledge by £42 to get a hold of him, a saving of at least 30% from the eventual RRP!
